Why don't the RV (maker as a whole not just Heartland) use vented loops in the overflow lines for fresh water tanks like we use on the set up of marine tanks. These prevent a siphon from starting and draining tank.
I know that whenever possible, we try to make the vent tube go up first, and then back down, but there is not always room for a full loop in that tight space - above the tank.
