I have been using these new butt connectors on a few new projects and I really like them. The heat gun shrinks the terminal then melts the solder into the wires. You can't get a better waterproof connection then this. I definitely recommend them to all of you DIY'ers.

Well I finally got around to replacing my LED light strip under the RV. I hope I didn't steer to many of you wrong with the first strip I installed last year. I know one of you pointed out to me that the LED light strip I was using was NOT indoor/outdoor. Well time did tell after a few to many truck washes they gave up on me.
I replaced them and added more to the other side. So now I have 2 LED light strips under the RV 1 one on each side from front to rear. I'll try to get some pictures after the sun goes down in a bit.

Jarrod - what type of fasteners did you use, mounting these tool holders into the basemement ceiling? And did you need to find studs, or simply drive into the ceiling material?

I installed the brackets I found from etrailer.com had trouble finding the aluminum cross members to screw in to. After poking around up there I found a few spots to mount them.

I used self tappers I had to poke around with a very small drill bit to find the studs.
I had a hard time finding something on the driver's side. I think I have some in studs and some not but they are holding fine.

Today was another successful Mod day.
First was an easy one.
I redid may power cable and circuit breaker to my hydraulic pump.
The 50amp auto reset has been popping alot this winter when it's cold out. So I went ahead and installed the 80amp manual reset breaker.
I also made a bigger and better main cable from my battery buss bar to the 80amp breaker.
All should be good now.

Where did you bring power for them? Using 110v to 12v power brick shown on Amazon or did you wire direct to coach 12v supply? (if so...how?)

Wondering how you wired them and if there is some type of controller box needed as well..??

I pulled power in the basement. That's where I mounted the control box for those lights.

From there I ran the 4 wire harness from the box out then down underneath in the lip of the j-rap running it under the basement. Then up to the curb side propane compartment.

In loom of course

There I used those AWESOME heat shrink solder connectors to spliced the 3 sets of wires together. 1) the wires from the box. 2) the wires from the curbside light strip & 3) the wires that run over to the other side.

The 3rd set of wires I ran up and over the Gen compartmnent to the other propane compartment then down to the light strip and used those same connectors.

OK as for the box and remote I use. This remote can control up to 4 different Control boxes.
I'm using 2 one here and one in my Heartland welcome sign.
They can be controlled separately or together in sync.
It's pretty cool.

OK this one is pretty cool and useful.
You have seen the LED light bars I put on the side at the rear of the RV. I bought 2 more to put up farther at the back of the drop frame.
These are all wire into my backup lights of my Ford and also on my number 4 upfitter switch in the cab.

Well I did a little more to control these lights. I have the switch in my 7-way box to turn them all on if needed. Well I also made a junction box with a 3 way switch in it that is mounted in my basement.
The 3 way switch will give me 3 options.
#1) these 2 light run with all of the other backup lights. Good for backing into your space at night.
#2) off, they will not come on with the other backup lights.
#3) on, I can turn those two side lights on from the switch in my basement.

I also mounted a master switch in this box to override my motion sensor for all of my basement lights.
