I've been down on a job in Greenfield CA. It's a very small farming town on US 101 north of Paso Robles and south of Salinas. I found a really nice RV park called "Yanks RV resort" there is plans to put a air museum here on the property in the near future.
If any of you are passing through and need a park to stay at I highly recommend it.

Nice! Do they have a rally hall? Might be a contender for a rally.

No nothing big enough and there not much to do around here. Maybe some wine tasting and a hike to the Pinnacle Mt.
It's about 35 to 40 minutes to Monterey and Carmel.
I'll double check before I head home tomorrow and make sure I'm not missing something there.
I'll pass the word on though and maybe they'll put one in when they build the Museum.
They are definitely off to a good start with the park.

We'll be staying near Paicines for a week the end of Oct. Always looking for something interesting to do and see. Definitely want to take in Carmel and Monterey. Any pointers would be appreciated. We'll be visiting family in Modesto the week prior to Paicines.

Know this is a bit off-topic but wondering how you sanitize your fresh water tank using the Anderson Valve. I looked at the instruction set on our site and it is for the gravity feed. Additionally there is a thread in the plumbing section of the forum that advises to put chlorine solution in the hose and then let city water push that through - not very efficient nor safe in my mind.

Appreciate any input.

Ron I've actually never done it.
I think most people are pouring bleach into there water hose then hooking it to faucet and using the water pressure to force it in.
I use my rig all year long and rotate out the water in the tank all the time.
And drink bottled water

Jerrod: Thanks for the quick reply. I'm a bit concerned as I notice that ours doesn't drain completely (when I took it in for service last month I had water draining and when I brought it back even more drained. :( ). I'd like to 'nuke' it with something just in case. Guess it will be the hose routine for now.

That's how we did ours. Used funnel and filled the hose with bleach, klnked the hose and attached to the faucet. Filled the to about one third full. Towed the coach around the block a few times, sloughing the water. Then drained the tank.

I'm home again. And back at it.
I copied this one from my buddy "Richheck"
I replaced the clear foggy glass with a piece tinted glass to match the rest of the glass on the coach.

Hi all - well I did the bleach into the hose using a funnel thing this evening. Apparently put way too much bleach in the hose though - filled the tank and ran water through the lines. My hands still smell of chlorine hours later. Don't know that it will hurt anything to leave it in the tank but we have a football tailgate Saturday and some of the guests may not like the 'clean smell'. Want to thank you all for your kind and quick replies and suggestions.

Jerrod: You going to install curtain on that new window or is it on-way view?

Ksucats, I don't think it's going to hurt anything leaving the bleach in for another day. But you should empty the tank and put in fresh water before your guests use the faucets.

Drain including the water heater by removing the drain plug. Fill with fresh water and run water through all facuets, including the washer/dryer prep and shower until the water coming out does not smell of bleach. I use a pan and dump the water outside the rig and use a hose for the washer/dryer prep facuet. Then your ready to go. Look at the Heartland Owners Manual "Water Systems Guide" page 22.

Today I move the two sewer line storage tubes out from under the drop frame back to a way better spot.
Now they are back next to the sewer dump line.
A lot easier to get to now.
I have the end cover being cut out at Tap Plastics today should be able to pick it up tomorrow morning and finish the project.
