I'm loving it for sure !!!
I think the new Ford is ready to go to work... We are heading to Jackson on Tuesday for the week.
Thanksgiving with my family in Ione CA
Then we'll turn the GMC over to my Mom and Dad. Going from the pavement of town to the dirt and mud of the Ranch life. It will be sad to watch it get beat up. Well we know they are getting a really good truck.

Congrats on the new truck, beautifulllllll. What color of white did you get? Oxford or the tri coat? Now we need interior pics.

How high is your garage door? I am wanting to make sure one would fit in my garage.
Sorry for the delay
It's called Platinum White I believe. I think it's going to match the white of the Landmarks full body paint perfectly.

I'll measure the door but I think it's 7'

This is what comes in the TPMS and trailer camera kit.
I seen on that video someone shared that the cord has to plug into the bumper plug. And that seems to be the case.
Which is stupid.
I will modify mine to plug it into the bed like it should be.

What are you doing about the tpms since it dont work with steel belted tires??.

Those new tires i put on my rig were all steel....so definantly would not work with factory tpms

Really ???
Are they these same ones ?

That would be pretty stupid since 98% of our tires today are steel belted.

Actually my neighbor is here watching cowboys game...

Says that he was told that steel belts will interfere with sensor....maybe??..as its an internal sensor

He is putting them on next week anyway and will see what happens ??..

The dealer told him that...so who knows the validity of the claim...it is the dealer afterall...🙄

They work on all of our cars and trucks with steel belted tires now so I can't imagine them selling them if they don't work.

Ok...long and interesting call...short story (unofficialy official😉)

Ford had connectivity issues on some trailers. Its more of a sensor ability/design issue.

They just dont transmit well through metal.

Rather than try and specify and name every combo that MAY cause issue they put a CYA statement to the use of steel tires, as without them there were NO issues...

On a side note, he mentioned that it would not be surprising AT ALL to see aftermarket screw on type sensors that work with the factory system...hint hint...

Also after looking at the supplied sensors and his wheels, he will need different stems to fit his wheels ...

That might actually be a reasonable explanation.

I was really sceptical that steel belted tires are a no go, I think steel sidewalls would be a better description, still unfortunate if they won't work.

When your leading the way there are some pot holes, you'll get it going though.

I had wondered about this a while back but never bothered researching it, are there trailer length limits for this system?

The diameter of the FoMoCo switch is just too small correct?

Two o-ringed aluminum bushings could adjust the size to adapt to the wheel hole then?

Might be a business opportunity for some CNC shop.

Just a thought.
