Here is the new custom plug box installed into the bed of the truck. I had to do a little painting to cover the white strips on both sides of the box.
The 8 wire 18 gauge wire will be here tomorrow then I'll finish extending the harness to reach the plug.

Kind of a funny story here.
Our good friends and fellow Heartland'ers were at the Vegas national finals rodeo. Early in the week Lydell asked me to send him the video my BBQ lift. So I did.
A few days later he sends me this video from the lady running the Trager booth.

I guess I should have put a patent on it !!!!! :/

They should at least give you some free grills for taking your idea. Or as she says "giving it to them for free"

Jerrod,

Ask them to send you a pre-production unit for evaluation and feedback. If they make improvements, you'll benefit. And who knows, after you get the relationship going, maybe they'll send you some grill accessories or consult with you on future products.

Good idea Dan. They should do something. Maybe I'll reach out to them and see if there really considering it.
I think it would be tuff to make 1 Lift that works in every RV they are all so different.
Guess we'll see.

"Gee, we're ripping you off, thanks for the idea!" I don't think I'd be so bold.

I would imagine she is messing with you. I'm trying to figure out how big of a customer base for Traeger carries around smokers in 5ers.

I think I'd be on the line ********** to tell them that you didn't give permission for them to take that idea without some sort of Royalty or some type of payment. If it were so easy you would have found it online and not had to make it!!

OK,,,,, I bit the bullet today and cut the harness.
My roll of 9 - 18 gauge wire came yesterday so I figured I'd tackle the project today.
I used heat shrink solder connectors. They work pretty good. Just crimp the wires together and then heat it with the heat gun. The solder melts right in for a perfect connection.

A lot of work to gain 2 foot of harness.

I also fished the wires through from the pinbox down to the bottom of the trailer.

And mounted the new plug stow to the front of my 7-way box.

Project LM 365 has been put on hold for now as I'm still working on the house problem. We are having to replace the entire 1952 cast iron sewer line under the cement slab house :/
I had to gut the 1 and a 1/2 bathrooms and the Kitchen floors, lower cabinets. jackhammer out the slap from the bathroom all the way out the garage to the curb.
I had completely gutted this house down to the studs and redid the entire thing from the ground up in 2009. I guess I should have done the sewer pipes under the slab then. "Live and learn" THE HARD WAY

Projects on hold
#1) Install the Titan disc brakes.
#2) Install the new Ford backup camera and wire harness.
#3) Install the LED backup light and LED side frame lights.
#4) Run the backup light wires from the pinbox to the rear of the trailer.
#5) Replace the Led light strips under the frame rail of the camp side and add the additional LED light strip down the drivers side.
#6) Make the custom drawer on the opposite side of my Fire pit drawer for all of my sewer fittings and supplies.

Sorry to hear that Jerrod. I wish I lived closer in order to come help a brother out.
