Jerrod,
Is your surge protection after the transfer switch? If so you have nothing to worry about. You are protected. Think of it this way. Your current switch is damaged and it is from someone who you feel makes a better product and it went bad. Replace with the new switch and send the old one back and you don't have to worry about a burn out from the current switch going bad. If you surge protection is before the switch move it.

Really I would think you want to protect everything from shore power ...
Mine is
) Cord to power reel,
) Power reel to Progressive surge protector.
) Surge protector to main transfer switch (bad one)
Gen and main
) Out of main transfer switch into second Surge Guard transfer switch
(Invertor & main switch) coming in
Then on to the power control panel from there

Yup. Your assuming the generator is perfect. Right now you have no protection if your generator is not providing clean power.

Changed out the 2 bathroom faucets today it's been on the list for a while now so I knocked it out. I use the sharkbite valves to convert from pex to the faucets bell fittings came out well :)
I like the single lever so I can't set the temp and turn it on and off with 1 hand while I'm brushing my teeth.
Saves water.

Thanks Erika
It was more for the usefulness. The factory faucets only stick out into the sink about 1 1/2" it was kind of a joke.
As you can see these reach out alot further. I think they look and work perfectly for us now.

The faucets are just like mine. Your old ones that is. If I remember correctly they drop it on the other side of the drain. I think.

'Other side of the drain' IF you are lucky. We were not so much - if you had the water turned down so as not to waste it, or when shutting the valves off, the water on our Key West actually fell onto the counter top. Full on it would hit the side of the basin closest to the faucet. We've also changed ours out.

We must be lucky then. You can still wash your hands with ours. Not optimal but it works.
