Going to redo everything I can get to.
I'm in and out of there alot and the plastic fittings are fragile, I don't want to find out the hard way that I broke something in there after its all buttoned up.

I did the same thing several years ago.

thanks i'll ck out next time at lowes. seams to have a good selection.

Go to the "push" fittings and select a 90* elbow, a tee, a coupler, a cap, a male adapter, female adapter, and a shutoff valve in 1/2" for starters. Also buy a pex cutting tool.

Mod in progress
I wanted to make something to cut down on the vibration and noise of the electric water pump.
This is what I came up with.
I use 2×4's cuz that's what I had laying around and cut them down to 2×2's cut them at 10" with 45° on both ends and made a 10" × 10" box. Then I took a pice of rubber hose stall mat (never used) LOL and cut it to 10" × 10". Not easy to cut.
I'll mount the box to the floor of the trailer and the pump to the mat, then I'll screw the mat down to the box.
I also found a sureflo pump silencing kit, that I'll install into the system. By the time I'm done I won't be able to tell if the pump is working or not.

Jerrod,

What's the thinking on why it's quieter to mount the mat to your 2x4 box instead of directly to the floor?

Dan my thought is that having the pump suspended on the rubber pad off the floor would minimize the vibration transferred from the pump to the coach.
The mounting screws for the pump will only be into the pad and the pad will be mounted to the box. So my thinking is complete isolation from pump to the coach.

Jerrod,
Are you considering an additional pad layer between the rigid box and the rigid floor to further reduce an vibration transmission?

No that wasn't the plan, but I I'm sure more is better right. I have the extra pad maybe I'll try that too. Thanks

I second this.

Also, pre-drill all the way before screwing it down to the floor.

I mounted my water pumps (demand and RO boost) on a 2x10. I used what I had on hand to further isolate. I mounted them on pipe insulation to further dampen their in-built mounting systems. Then I mounted the 2x10 on Frost King window air conditioner sealing insulation (compressible by very dense) then mounted to 2x10 to the floor.

I also used vinyl hose in and out of the pump and I must say WOW! Probably the quietest water pump you've ever heard. Before all of this, my pump sounded like a jack hammer.

I already received my day/night motion sensor from over sea's. That was crazy fast.
I just changed it out and did the adjustments. Guess we'll see how it works this week.
It's daytime and it's not on working good so far.

Is that the model from down under I dug up earlier? You are just too fast with the "continuous improvement" cycle for me to keep up :).

Note:I walked up to a dark 5ver the last few nights thinking I need to "Jerrod" the porch light so I could see well. I'll order the same motion detecter if it passes your scrutiny.

Please do Jerrod, I'm very interested in this mod. Also, can you post the info on it, if you haven't already?

A few days ago DW noticed the TV was sitting lower on one side, I didn't think much of it. Then yesterday we were showing our new found Heartland camping friends our rig when I opened up the TV cabinet and he pointed at the latch assembly. Not good

The screw seems to be in-between 2 boards which was not enough meat to keep it in there.

I don't think I'll ever have to worry about it again
