Dining room slide topper spring tension

I have the Dometic slide toppers on my Orlando and had an issue with the dining room topper.

Well, long story short, the springs have lost all their tension, so I need to know how many turns of the spring do I need to put into the springs so the topper will roll up as the slide comes in.

THANKS...

Sounds like a warranty issue. I doubt these are something you would want to take apart and try to service, at least I wouldnt. Give dometic a call.

I did a bunch of reading, and i found where 8 turns on 1 video, and 13 turns on another. So I went for 10. The topper is so long that there are 2 springs, 1 on each side.

So 10 seemed to work good. Thanks for your replies.

My slide toppers are sagging and hold water. Is there an adjustment process to tighten the fabrics while the slides are out?

There's no easy adjustment. See the link in post #3 for a video that may help.

Don't over tighten as that can cause other problems.
