New Dual Water Filter System

The big brown truck brought this yesterday. Cost was $36.99. Way cheaper than the other guys. Quality looks good. I haven't put water through it yet, so I don't know if it leaks. I'll be mounting it in the basement area behind the UDC. I'll post again after I install it.

I got the filters installed today. Put a couple of hinges on the panel to make it a door. Still haven't put any water through it. I'm going to a park in a few weeks. I'll try it out there.

Looks nice. I like how you laid it out as-well-as the hoses. Only recommendation I can provide is to use the 5micron flter as your first filter followed by the .5micron filter. Again, nice workmanship.

Re: New water filters

Never mind. Beech Lane from Amazon
Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Beech-Lane-External-Leak-Free-Construction/dp/B07GBZ83HH/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1546878743&sr=8-3&keywords=Beech+Lane+dual+RV+water+filter

Description says that the 0.5 micron final filter cartridge can be replaced with a 0.5 micron activated carbon block filter.

From what I know from working on dialysis water filtration systems, you want the carbon filter first in the water path, then the finest (0.5 micron) filter last. At least that is how the pre-reverse osmosis filters were set up. The 5 micron activated block filter cartridges are more common.
