open ended hose????

Could i use that hose to siphon in vinegar to the water heater for a good cleaning?
I would imagine you could. There are several valves which will need to be opened and closed to redirect the water. Some will close off the line to the freshwater tank. There are valves on the back of the water heater to bypass that if needed. There are valves on that open ended hose that will allow it to be opened and closed.

You put that end in the winterizing antifreeze and pump it throughout the system.
Is this the hose that you can fill the system with antifreeze?

That's the idea. You should have a valve somewhere before the open-ended hose tees into the suction side of the pump. Open it to have the antifreeze sucked in by the pump. Close it when done.
