Mallard M185 Tv mount

Looking for more detail on mounting a tv on the cabinet above the sink in our Mallard M195. I know from the sales guy and a YouTube video that it's the suggested location based on the fact that all the cabling is right there, but I can't find the detail of exactly where to place the mount. Also didn't know if I should use the lag bolts that came with the mount as they are quite long and I'm afraid will go though things we don't want them to. Looks like most suggest calling Heartland to discuss in detail, but was hoping there was some kind of documentation. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum! I can't help with the mounting location, but I can tell you that the lag bolts that came with mount are probably to long. The best thing to do is measure the wall thickness you are wanting to mount on at a door opening. Hopefully someone will be along to help with the other.

Hello, I’m new to this site And unfortunately do not have the info you wanted because I am in the same boat. I just bought a 20’ M185.I was hoping that you mounted yours and had good luck and you can advise me of where to place the TV mount. Again I hope you had good luck with the mounting and durability of the area mounted to and I would appreciate any info you can give me. Thank you, Dan

In my Mallard 185, I added a 24" Roku TV and mount over my kitchen sink.

I used a vertical tv mount.

To mount the tv mount, I had to remove the entertainment system.

Then mounted a scrap piece of plywood (I went vertical for additional support).

I used dry wall screws within the storage section above the sink to mount the plywood.

I've had this system mounted for 3 years and have had no issues. I just wish I would have mounted it 1" higher.

Sorry for all the links.

I hope this helps.
