There is a Landmark at the Hart Ranch RV Resort in Rapid City, SD. We spotted it when we arrived yesterday. Have tried a couple of times to make contact without success. Also we took a long ride to N. Dakota and a Cyclone on the road heading North toward North Dakota. Heartland is Everywhere. Right now we are staying here at the Hart Ranch RV Resort in Rapid City, SD. We will be heading to Gillette, Wy in a couple of days. The Hart Ranch RV Resort is a beautiful huge well managed Resort. We are staying here under the Coast to Coast banner however I believe this park is also RPI and Thousand Trails. I highly recommend it. It is close to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monument.

I went on a little 415 mile round-trip bike ride yesterday, from Glendo, WY to Denver, CO and back. Upon arriving back in Glendo, I pulled in the General Store where EVERYONE was filling up with fuel to make it home after the weekend. I pulled in to talk to another Cyclone 3950 owner who was filling up. I told him about the forum! :) As I was pulling in, there was a Sundance going by, too! I saw a bunch of Bighorn, Big Country and Sundance on a Dealer's lot north of Denver, K-C RV - east side of I-25, south of RV America and Johnson's Corner.

Yepper...Heartland's everywhere! :)

From Pt Aransas Texas - We pulled into Pioneer Beach Resort & RV Park and found two Cyclones and one Landmark. With our BH 3600 that makes four.

Update- Now there are two Big Horns. The neighborhood is looking up ! !:):)

I spotted a Sundance today parked on the parking lot of the Sears auto center on I90 in Rapid City, SD. There was no tow vehicle attached to it.

Bighorn spotted, I-75 Southbound near exit 301.

We pulled onto I-75 southbound about 9 A.M. today (Friday July 3) just ahead of a Bighorn pulled by a white or cream color Ford.

Was it someone from the forum ? We were on our way to golf with friends so couldn't take the time to see who it was.

GREAT to see more Heartland products on the road. We will be heading into the U.P. of Michigan on Saturday and will be staying at the Munising City RV Park on the shore of Lake Superior thru Monday July 7. Then on to Crystal Falls MI for a day or two.

Hope everyone is having a great summer.......

We are at Rushmore Shadows south of Rapid City. Last week there was a Cyclone here for a few days. On our walk tonight we saw a new Sundance and there is a North Trail here. No one around either one.
We leave here on Monday for Montana.

On the way into Lethbridge Alberta July 3, we passed two Bighorns traveling west on highway 3. We were going east on a divided highway so we couldn't see where they were from.
Our sister and brother in-law have a Bighorn 3055 as well. The heads sure turned when we were parked side by side in the Cottonwood Rv park here in southern alberta! Lots of questions for sure.

Were staying at the Rafter Bar J in Hill City, SD. and have two other 3400RL next door. They are both brothers and the nicest people.

Jim, your property must be just north of Kathy and Connie. Back up IH 75 in Clinton, Tenn., there is a park named Foxwood Inn Campground. It is right off the east side of the highway on Andersonvill Road. We stayed there a week last year on the way from St. Ignace. MI., to the rally in Myrtle Beach. SC., Some friends and former neightbors were work camping there. It was a good park. We will stay there again this year on the way back down to the same rally. It turns out they will be back there again this year.

Tom & Sharol,

We are at Lakeshore RV Park on the UP of Michigan in St. Ignace for the season. If you have not been to Whitefish Point up there on the northern side of the UP it is a good place to take in. They have the Great Lakes Ship Wreck Museum and a lighthouse which chronicles Lake Superior ship wrecks, including the famed Edmund Fitzgerald. We drove up there for the day last years when we were on the UP. If you have time to get over to Sault St. Marie to see the Soo Locks, and take the boat trip through the locks. The boat trip takes you through the U.S. Locks then circles around and goes back through the Canadian Locks. The Canadian Locks were there before the American one. Also, in St. Ignace is the 21 storey Tower of History where you can get some great pics of the locks, the St. Mary's river and Canada on the other side On a good day one can see about 30 miles. Across the street is the Museum Ship Valley Camp. It was worth going through the ship and seeing their maritime artifacts.
AND, if that is not enough, right across the border on the Canadian side in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, is the Bush Plane Museum. Talk about a great place to visit, it has some neat old bi-planes and some vintage cars. That is one place where you will need at least two to three hours.
Of course to me the best part about visiting Saul Ste. Marie and St. Ignace are the casinos. And before I forget, every Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. the VFW in Sault Ste. Marie has an all you can eat fish fry. One of the locals who owns a fishing boat and a restaurant donates the fresh white fish each week for their fund raiser. You cannot get fish any fresher than they serve. They also sell tickets for a Split the Pot raffle for $1.00 The little ladies in the auxiliary make the pies and cakes for desert which is included.

Joseph,

If you get a chance go into Canada and take the Agawa Train tour. In the winter it is called the Snow Train and it is a beautiful trip and well worth the money.

While traveling on US 212 in Montana yesterday we met a Big Country just west of Broadus, MT in the construction area. We exchanged waves. A short time later between Ashland, MT and Lame Deer, MT we met a Cyclone.
Spent the night in Roundup, MT at a motel that has RV hookups. They only have 9 spots with 2 pull thru. This is a nice little town and a nice overnight stop, very friendly people.

We are new to this game...64 year old rookies!!! Picked up our 3400RL Bighorn last week and except for a couple of minor things (Leaking kitchen sink drain and a mirrored closet door that opened on the WV turnpike and snagged the bedroom slide when we stopped for our second night) all's well. My bride said, "Thank goodness the mirror didn't break!" We are in the Fort Chiswell RV Park in Ft. Chiswell, VA (I-77/I-81 exit 80) and there's a Landmark here with NY plates that is parked and shut up tight. We are excited about our coach and disappointed about diesel prices. Sure wish we'd started this when it was about a $1 a gallon. Reading this forum has really been a big help in our buying process...Refused our coach when it was offered with Mission tires. Dealer upgraded to Goodyears! Would never have known to balk on the deal without info on the Chinabombs.

Sure hope this is the right place to share our excitement. You folks are doing a great job with this forum. I peeked around in here gathering info under another name for about three months before my bride came up with hillsonwheels. Thanks for the assist!

My rig is in Susanville, CA. There is a Big Horn parked there as well but I never saw any people! I will reposition mine on Thursday to Eagle Lake State Park for a big family campout.

Marybeth,
Please let us know how Eagle Lake is. We took a little side trip once on our way home from Reno and saw the lake. It is beautiful, but I didn't know there was an RV park there. It might be a good place for a weekend trip for us.

Right now there are 2 Landmarks, 1 Sundance, 1 Bighorn, and 1 Cyclone here at Rayford Crossing, in The Woodlands, Tx. OMG maybe we should have mini-rally. Since Jay Coffman is here maybe that will work. We shall see.
