Electric Landing Gear Saviour

Went I went to pack up for my move a couple of weeks ago, I found that one of the landing gear legs was not working on my electric landing gear. I knew what the problem was, a missing bolt in the crossover drive shaft from the electrically driven leg, and luckily had taped a spare hardened bolt and stop not combination to each leg for just such an occurrence. I was ready to complete hitch up with just 5 minutes delay.

A "hot standby" - great idea Bill.

A number of years back when electric landing gear was even more prevalent, I used to carry 2 sets of nuts/bolts in my kit to help RVers.
