I'm suspecting that the gas valve for the oven is likely borked, but my problem is two fold.
1.) The pilot will not stay lit unless I light it and then hold it in while starting the burner.
2.) The oven's thermostat doesn't work, period. You can set it to 265 degrees and it will heat up to 450 or higher sometimes.
Am I correct in assuming that the valve assembly for the oven part of the range has simply gone bad?
