    Baking food in the oven

If you can't find a pizza stone any unglazed tile should work. There was recently a discussion on this topic on a Facebook RV forum.

One year travel trailer warranty a sham for the customer . . . should be at least three years!

John, I have the 2011 BRS28 NT. Before we hauled it 3000 miles both axles, inadequate for the weight of the TT, bent, destroying all four tires when we were over a hundred miles from home. HL only gave us a 12 month warranty on it and we didn't notice the potentially deadly situation until we...

    Choosing an RV

Our NorthTrail has storage space under both beds but it's so hard to reach, taking two people, we only store things there that are more for emergency use than anything else. We have for example, an extra set of sheets and quilts stored under the Queen bed and nothing stored under the bunk bed...

    Cleaning stove top

What an excellent idea. :) I'm going to try this. Or even cheap tinfoil and just toss every few days and replace.

    Newbie Decorating Question

When we sold the Sunline and then the Zinger, we did the same thing. No one commented on seeing a pic hangers on the walls. PS we sold those 2 TTs because they were too small. The 28' NT w/slideout fits us better.

    Cleaning stove top

I also use the products already mentioned. I find anything with Ammonia will remove greasy spatters the best. We seldom fry anything as fried food is so unhealthy. Since I prepare and cook the meals my husband does the clean-up. It's done after each meal before anything really gets to stick...

    Solar landscape lights

Did you pull the small TAB (usually orange or yellow) out of them so contact is made? Some people don't know to do this.

    wallpaper border

I finally dealt with that ugly border. Trying to remove it all without damaging the walls, and then getting the sticky stuff off was more than I wanted to deal with. I bought a nice border slightly higher than the original and glued it OVER the original. You can't tell there's another border...

I also choked on my coffee laughing when I read this. :D :D :D :D

    Newbie Decorating Question

We have not found anything that keeps pics on the walls permanently. We tried everything people recommended on several RV forums. What finally worked was putting heavy duty Velcro on each corner of the frame PLUS the nail/frame hanger gizmo. What's a tiny nail hole? This takes the weight off...

    Decorating / Mods

I'm hoping someone replies. We would love to get rid of the jack-knife sofa as it's hard and very uncomfortable to sit on through a 2 hour movie. The area where we sit is compressing making the thing look lopsided. We don't need it for a bed as it's only us and the cats. But when we looked...

    Installed a Backsplash

Thanks, that's good to know. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea using it as we first thought. :(

    Awning won't retract

Doesn't your slide have a manual crank that needs a drill to bring it in? We always carry a cordless drill with us. Both for the stabilizers and in case the motor goes on the slide-out.

    Awning problem... where to ask?

Re: Awningc problem... where to ask? We ordered our BRS28 from a place in FL, but then DH picked it up at a dealer near the HL factory in IN. It saved us a few hundred in delivery costs. If they gave him a walk-through, no one mentioned this about the awning he can remember. But sometimes...

    Awning problem... where to ask?

Re: Awningc problem... where to ask? Thanks Dave, it appears one of us somehow rolled the awning up "backwards." So the IN became the OUT on the switch. But it looks to me like the motor is wearing out in any case. When it rains we have to bring the awning in when we're camping or...
