    Wiring fan

I was replacing the switch for my Vortex bathroom fan and knowing better I did not snap a photo. It was several weeks until the new switch arrived and now I am at a lose how to hook the wires up. I realize the 4 wires are actually one wire that has been cut to power I am guessing the fantastic...

Bighorn sighting in Oregon south bound on I-84

#2 Gray water tank discharges does not seem to be closing.

I put a Barker unit on my Bighorn. We moved to Helena Montana and are living in it until our house closes. Because it gets pretty cold here, I was concerned about my sewer pipe freezing. Ended up having the valve replaced and it is now fine.

    Hydraulic issue... pump cutting out?

We have a 2014 Bighorn with 6 point leveling system. Same problem. Talked to a Dealer service tech at a RV show. He looked at it and said I had a bad breaker. He did not have any so I ordered a couple from Heartland. A new one did not do the trick. I took the unit to Quality RV in Springfield...

#2 Gray water tank discharges does not seem to be closing.

Thanks for writing. I had just looked up that valve in the Good Sam catalog. I want to get it fixed but that valve would also eliminate residual liquid when taking the cap off

#2 Gray water tank discharges does not seem to be closing.

We have a 2 year old 2014 Bighorn 3570RS. When we set up this trip, upon removing the cap for the sewer hose I filled a 3 gallon paint bucket with gray water. The valve handle feels like it is working correctly. I asked my wife to fill both sinks and then pull the plugs at the same time. I...

    Very disappointed in Heartland!

I got my BH back. They replaced to board. I suspected this was the trouble all along. As for the shock, I have a call into HL. I think they may have called back and I missed it. Will call again Tuesday.

    Very disappointed in Heartland!

I picked the unit up from dealer. They handed me the shock. The rubbers are shot and the shaft is bent at the bottom. The shock is tiny! Something I would expect on maybe a Smart Car. It says in big letters, "Made in China". I have a call into Heartland.

    Very disappointed in Heartland!

I have my 2014 Bighorn 3570 RS at the dealer getting it's furnace repaired for the 3rd time in 11 mo. Additionally because it has over 11,000 miles on it, I asked them to repack the wheel bearings. Got a call today telling me that a shock absorber is broken and the cost to repair would be...

My Sony receiver in our 2014 3570RS has very poor radio reception. The inexpensive unit in the storage are runs circles around it. Single pane windows vs dual pane? Purchasing soon

We spent our first fairly cold night in our Bighorn last night. The temperature got down to 11 degrees F. The wind was blowing 25-35. We do not have dual pane windows. We are not getting any sweating and can feel very little cold. We were warm as toast and did not have any issues with freezing...

Almost had a fire in our Bighorn

I do not know how Heartland operates but apparently some RV manufactures give the crews a bonus for getting more units out in a given period of time than has been determined to be the average.

Almost had a fire in our Bighorn

The electrician that corrected our issue would tighten the connector, then wiggle it, tighten some more, wiggle, tighten etc. He said he always does this. I could see that after wiggling the wire came loose. Eventually it stayed tight.

Almost had a fire in our Bighorn

Today our 120 volt power just quit. We are in a very small town for an extended stay and no RV repair shop around. It was today, Saturday when this happened. We hired an electrician to help us solve the issue. It turned out to be a dead short at the connection to our power cable reel. Three of...

    Outside outlets tripping ground fault

We have a 2014 3570RS Bighorn. This unit has 2 outside power lets that are tied to the GFI in the bathroom. No matter what I plug into either of these (including a basic polarity tester) they trip the GFI. Nothing is damp around them, in fact they are both bone dry. I have other outlets on the...

    Loving our 3570RS.

We have now been in our BH this time for 6 1/2 weeks. This is the beginning of a 6 - 8 mo. trip. Previous trips were shake downs and for the most part all went well. The only issues we have had so far is our vacuum system went out. (yes we did all the tests and HL is going to replace it) and we...

    Bedroom closet door latches

The latches on our unit are made of metal. The are like an upside down "J". The large end slides up and down and the small end slips into a metal barrel. They work great and for the most part are very sturdy. When not in use, I rotate them flush to the casing. The issue I resolved was the very...

    Brackets on frame

Can anyone explain to me what the purpose of the brackets attached to the far real of the frame are for? I have a 6 point leveling system so I had guessed they are for drop down stabilizers. Since then I have seen units with these and they are mounted in front of these brackets.

    Bedroom closet door latches

I have a 2014 Bighorn 3570RS. The latch for the right hand closet door is screwed into approx. 1/8th inch panel. On the first trip it pulled out. I used a hole saw from the washer/crier closet to install a backing plate made of wood. I covered it with a blank electrical plate.

How do you get something repaired on the road?

The breaker is ok. The vacuum is plugged into the same outlet as the converter. This outlet registered 118 volts. I also tried to use the intake port in the storage bay. I talked to Heartland this morning and explained the situation to them. After answering all of his questions I was told that I...
