    Heartland Landmark Fire exits

There are two fire exit windows, one in the bedroom, and one behind the couch in the living room. Instructions state to remove the screen and push the slide lock out of the frame. This allows the smaller lower part of the window to swing out freely. QUESTION: Are you then able to push the entire...

DISH Traveller, hooking up to Landmark

Have a brand new 2014 Landmark KL from RVs For Less, and ordered the DISH NETWORK portable Satellite Traveler and receiver. How to connect it to the SAMSUNG TV via the receiver? I know that the coax cable from the portable antenna connects in the compartment to either the main or bedroom TV...

    Information, good information, and mis-information.

The tire forum is littered with some of each. Think us RVers are the only ones with tire problems? Just look on the sides of highways and count the "alligators" lying dead there from the big rigs. Watch your tires for correct pressure, overloading, excessive speed, age, and road hazard damage...

    It's home. No dents.

After spending two days @ RVs For Less in our new Key Largo getting to "know it all", it's now home. And....(insert drum roll), everything still works. Best ever experience buying from our new friends at this dealership.

Tomorrow We Take Possession of Our New Landmark

Tomorrow we take possession of our 2014 Landmark Key Largo at RVs For Less in Knoxville. Really nice folks to deal with. Will give it a shakedown on an 11 day dry camping trip to Winchester, VA, and maybe the month of December on the Gulf Coast. Also will flaunt it at the NC Rally in early...

    Missippi coast in December

Thinking of a month on the Gulf Coast in December, between Biloxi and Gulfport. Good Sam has listed some nice campgrounds, and Passport America has two not fit for dogs. Anyone ever spend time in December there? Weather? Which campgrounds? Spent a year there in 1962 (Keesler AFB) but don't...

Setting up TV's on Cable or Antenna or Sat.

I have found that the best way to eliminate confusion when trying to get the TV's and remotes to work is to borrow or rent a child between the ages of 7 and 14 and bring him/her with you. If you own one, they'll do it for you, but won't show you how.

    Disconnecting batteries while plugged in.

Having boondocked since 1969, we have rarely been plugged in at regular camgrounds and have operated on batteries. (charged every few days with generators). Now that we are buying a LM Key Largo we shall begin doing some regular camping with hookups. When on 120 VAC is it OK to disconnect...

    norcold on 120VAC

Now that my fridge is working again on propane after the "mud dauber affair", it won't work on AC.I have 124 Volts to the plug for it, but the trouble code reads "no AC". Connections from the plug-in wire to the red & black frige supply appear good as far as I can trace them. Any ideas?

Big Country, How to remove flatscreen TOSHIBA, 2013

Have a BC 3650 RL, 2013, with a TOSHIBA flatscreen in the living area. Anyone know how to remove it from its mount? I can slide it to the right, but cannot get it off. RESOLVED: Mud Daubers created Norcold fire hazard

I have a double door NORCOLD refrigerator in my 2013 3650 RL Big Country. When new last October it would not stay lit on propane, but worked on 120V. Had it repaired at the dealer, and they said it was only an "adjustment". It worked the next time out. Just got back from a month long trip to New...

    RV Insurance

Looking to obtain unbiased information on insuring my Big Country 5th wheel. When I purchased it last October I called my auto insurance company (Liberty Mutual) and added it to my auto policy which increased my premium by about $140/yr. The company informed me that I was insured for up to the...

SOLVED: Removing Genesis 2 Sound system

My brand new Genesis 2 sound system installed in my 2013 BC 3650RL will not load CD's or DVR discs. The "load" indicator comes on, then 3 sec. later it ejects the disc. My dealer needs the unit to order a replacement, but I cannot get it out of the "built-in" location. I've removed the six...

    Genesis CD player problem

Have a new BC 3650RL with the Genesis sound system. Everything seems to work except the CD player. When I insert a CD, the panel indicates "Loading", and then after about 3 seconds it ejects the disc. Every time, and I've tried it with 10 or more CDs. Instructions say to reset the factory...

    1. Do you know where the low point drains for the fresh H2O are located in the 3650RL Big Country? ( Found answer in forum. No low point drains) 2.
