I don't see an answer to Mike's question. Does anyone know if there are still special options like upgraded brakes, tires and axles available on Bighorns? Washer and dryer also used to be on the special build sheet. Anyone know if they are still available from the factory or are they dealer...
Guess I was mistaken about the Sailun tires. Sailun was frequently mentioned alongside Towmax (which were a big problem), but the Sailuns were being mentioned as the best replacement not as a problem. Good to know they are OK.

Thanks for the info. We use ours all the time...
From what I see on this forum, Bighorns now come with Sailun 16" load range G tires, which are much better than the previous Towmax tires. However, it seems some people are still having problems. Maybe that's because of overloading as you suggest, but I was looking to be on the safe side. Maybe...
We are looking at Bighorns, and I have a couple of questions about the availability of options that I don't see on the MSRP list.
Is a heat pump option available for the Bighorn AC units? If available, what's the price?
Are the Goodyear G114 17.5" tires and wheels from the Landmark available...
Re: Thor's Heartland Decision to buy DRV
Too bad about the forum. IMO, this is a better forum than the one for the Suites owners. I am impressed that company reps like yourself and product line managers participate directly in this forum. That to me is a huge plus.
I joined this forum a while...
Re: Thor's Heartland Decision to buy DRV
I know it's still very early in the process; but since DRV will fall under Heartland, does anyone have any idea if and when DRV might be included in this forum?
That's good news, and it's encouraging that future floor plans will have more CCC; but it doesn't help us.
We're ready to buy NOW. I wish Landmark had mixed it up a little instead of working on all the biggest floor plans first. We're looking in the 37-39' range and for 3-4000 lb CCC.
The brochure lists the GVWR of the Bighorn 3570RS as 15,500 lb. while the website shows it as 16,000 lb. Which is correct? If 16,000 lb. is correct, when did the change take place?
That's what I thought initially, so I updated my bookmark. It didn't help.
It's not only when I first load the forum from the bookmark. If I'm already in the forum with "All Forums" listed and I navigate to a sub-forum and click on a particular thread, when I'm done and use the back arrow it...
Thanks for all the replies.
I like the idea of magnets because they do not infringe on the width of the opening the way struts do.
On the other hand, struts sound like a good idea because they help lift the door, which may come in handy if I have my hands full or if my bad shoulder is acting...
When I first joined the Heartland Forum earlier this year, every time I went to the forum the "All Forums" tab at the top was highlighted. Now, something seems to have changed. Every time I open my bookmark to the forum or every time I try to use the back arrow when I'm in an individual thread...
Thanks much. We're not quite ready to pull the trigger, but we'll look for existing stock when the time comes a little while from now. Otherwise, we'll see what the new floorplans look like
BTW, as a prospective buyer, it's very reassuring to know Heartland managers take such an interest in...
I see a sticky on the Bighorn Prospective Owners' Forum that says the Bighorn will have a full body paint option available soon. Anyone know if there is any chance the Big Country will offer full body paint in the near future?
In the meantime, can existing floorplans like the Grand Canyon and Key Largo still be ordered to the old design? If so, how long do you expect customers will be able to do that?
We are full-timers who currently own a motorhome; but we are seriously considering switching to a 5th wheel. We really like the Heartland Big Country.
Some of the Big Country 5th wheels we have seen both online and in person have gas struts supporting the outside curb-side cargo door, but most...
We prefer open for 2 reasons:
1. Better reception for rooftop satellite dish
2. Temperatures in central Florida usually range in the 70s during the day and 40-50s at night in January-February. However, there are usually a few days in January when the temps will struggle to get out of the 50s and...
I still prefer the type of single-handle faucet we have. You just push the lever down to turn the water off, and as long as you don't move it left or right, the temperature stays the same when you turn it back on. Way easier than taking the shower head out of the holder to turn the knob. And...
We prefer single-handle faucets in the shower because it makes it easier to turn the water off and on to take "Navy" showers when we need to conserve water. I can see why Heartland may not want to install single-handle shower faucets for cost reasons. However, it would be nice if on the Big...
We have been looking at several Heartland models, and the one that keeps rising to the top of our list is the Big Country. We like a couple of the floor plans, we like the interior decor, and most of them have an acceptable CCC for those of us who are full-timers.
My first question is about the...
I see where most of the Heartland models have a sticky for MSRP lists, but I can't seem to find one for the Gateway. Any idea where I can find the MSRP list for Gateway models? We are impressed by the Gateway features and would like to see if it would fit the budget.
