I bought a 2013 BigHorn 3570RS in the first few days of December, 2012 ... just over 3 months ago.
Multiple warranty issues including a bad living room TV (Sony), cracked bottom in the fiberglass shower pan, pocket door for bathroom where the hardware for retaining the door open during travel...
I've used these on my various motorcycles with awesome results.
Anybody used these on a 5th wheel trailer?
Seem reasonable vs classic balancing issues and costs. Once and forget it.
IMPOSSIBLE to clean. I know it allows a wider entry point, but it makes it absolutely impossible to clean the overlap areas of the shower doors.
And, EVERY item on the remote control fob should have a manual backup switch and that includes the stair light!
And, while you're at it ... add a...
Nothing in the generic owner's manual, so where is the switch for the stair light (amber beneath the stairs) on the 2013 3570RS ???
Can't find it but the light's on so I know it's there somewhere .... :)
Took delivery almost a month ago but our first chance to get it out of the barn and now there are multiple teething issues.
Porch light won't work. Cable for TV doesn't work. Remote for TV doesn't work (yes, I tried changing batteries). Potty leaks from seal at floor. Gotta admit I checked...
I'm taking delivery of a brand spanking new 3570RS Friday morning. I upgraded all the marker and clearance lights on my 2008 Sundance 2800RLS to LED lighting with a simple bulb change. Now I face a challenge with the 3570.
Rectangular marker lights are easy ... The issue is going to be with...
TOUGH choice. Looked at least a dozen different 5ers including a Landmark Grand Canyon and a Big Country 3510 and (gasp) a Dutchmen Infinity 3400RL. And I seriously considered a wide range of used motorhomes, but momma wanted the trailer vs the motorhome, and if momma ain't happy, ain't NOBODY...
I am looking at an upgrade from my 2008 Sundance 2800RLS to a 2013 Bighorn 3570RS. But my wife wants the recliners at the rear window inlieu of the sofa. The sofa (4 cushion) is too big to sit in the spot to be vacated by the recliners. So I am looking for a shorter (the OEM sofa is 82" wide!)...
Dometic refrigerator on my 2008 Sundance quits working. Freezer only gets to about 45 degrees and refrigerator is basically room temperature.
It's in the shop ... a day to determine the thermistor is NOT the problem. Now another day to determine if it's the control board or the cooling unit...
Went out to prep up for the first trip of the year and turned on the fridge/freezer to pre-cool it before loading up the food and .... surprise ... freezer gets cold but fridge part is still at ambient temperature after 5 hrs on AC power. Dometic unit, one control with "slider" temperature...

Can anybody recommend a good campground in the immediate vicinity of Hot Springs? I need something within 20 miles or so and they must have 50amp service and allow pets.
Thanks for any tips.

about how CHEAP fuel is in the USA.
****
Despite daily headlines bemoaning record gas prices, the U.S. is actually one of the cheaper places to fill up in the world. Out of 155 countries surveyed, U.S. gas prices were the 45th cheapest.
RANK COUNTRY $/gal
1 Bosnia $10.86
4 United Kingdom $8.38...
I've got factory 15" alloy rims which I want to replace with 16" rims so I can get out of the el cheapo tire trap.
Anybody have a resource for replacements without having to modify axles and/or suspension ??? I'm looking for bolt-on replacements.

I was perusing this morning's financial commentaries on the internet and found this sad story about family-owned AlpenLite going out of business as a direct result of the credit crunch:

I had my Sundance 2800RLS winterized by the dealer. I just couldn't find the time to do it myself.
Now it's time to bring the beast out of hibernation, but I've never done so. My motorhomes were all stored in heated storage so I never had to winterize them per-se. I just emptied the water...
Does anybody have any experience with one of these units?

I thought about a roof mounted dish-in-a-dome but this thing is half the price and has a lot more flexibility. I can take it (and the receiver, of course) to my home or my...
