I had custom ones made for my Landmark. They side into a track and snap over the edge of the slide out. They are great no water build up and no wind noise. I even made an edge for a rain gutter out of L shape thin aluminum. Very easy to install just need a step ladder.
My Landmark almost burnt while I was in bed the wire the the front side of the bed was way to short and when the slide moved in and out it wore though the wire. It started smoking one night while we were in bad. Scared the **** out of me. Fixed it with a longer wire. Heartland must have saved...
My Landmark had roof damage in a storm so insurance company paid for a new roof. Repair company told me the the roofing was hardly tack down from the factory no excuse for a camper that cost that much money.
My Landmark did the same thing. I found that the factory puts the screws in with a gun and overtightens them. When I replaced them with new fenders I put the screws in by hand screwdriver no problem and have been that way for two years
I have the same problem, was on white or a long time now it is on red and blue together and can't get it back to white. Never take it to CW they are so bad.
I had that same problem with my old Cedar Creek because the frig was on a slide and was in the sun all day. Go to Wal Mart and get a small elec fan put it on the bottom and plug it in with the frig let it run 24/7 problem solved
From what I have been reading and talking to Heartland owners Heartland has no quality control what so ever. So sad with the money being spent by campers.
That is so sad to hear news like this. We're talking a 130,000 dollar trailer and to have a company let something go out the door with these problem is terrible. Goes to show there needs to be changes in management.
No friendly greeting at the weigh station, I broke a spring in Punta Gorta Fl and it was just before the weigh station on 75 south. The attendee would not help me at all he through a phone book at me and said see if you can find someone and get that rig over there somewhere out of the way. Spend...
Does not make the bed useless as when you pull the hitch out you just have two rails in the floor. If that bothers you then cut a piece of plywood to go between the rails and staple a piece of carport on it. Bed will be like it wasn't even there. Been doing it for the last three trucks
jerryjay11, what hey are referring to is the camper is at the lower price scale of campers. Even the expensive one have plenty of problems as there seams to be no quality control. There was a guy on here just the other day with a Landmark 365 that the furniture was falling apart and that unit...
The true reason they cracked is that the factory tighten the screws to much. I see this all the time. Bought new ones for mine and had to buy both sides although I only needed one side Heartland would not sell me one side. Then you ave to get them painted. It was costly. And all just because...
My friend got a Curt 16k and it was very sloppy they send him another one and same thing. A lot of chocking when going down the road. He went to a Husky 16K and the trailer pulls so much better. Others have had the same problem with the Curt 16k
Re: Water pump constantly leaks landmark newport I feel for you and I would be very angry after spending that kind
I feel for you after spending that kind of money for Landmark it just seem people do not are any pride in their work anymore. It's not like you bough a cheap trailer so sad
My friend got a second top from Curt and he still has the same problem. He is going to send the hitch back to Curt and go with a Husky like he had in his other truck
Curt is saying that the proble is the trailer brake that come factory installed in the truck ( all three makes) they are set up for a certain towing weight and if you are towing less you will get chucking. The only way to fix it is to install a brake control like the old days. I have a friend...
Some people with a Curt Hitch are saying there is to much slop in the hitch. Check that and if there is the trailer will act like yours. Call Curt they will replace the top of your hitch.
A friend of mine just put a Curt 16 in his new GMC 2500 and is not happy with it. The hitch pin on his trailer is very sloppy when hooked up. Is this common with Curt hitches ?
Another point on this is that you should always run a pressure reducer on the tank wash as high pressure will blow a line off the tank. I keep a piece of hose attached to mine with a 50 pis on it.
Re: Intermittent hot water/ Landmark fifth wheel
Replace that plastic check valve with a brass one and your problem will be gone. I have a 2009 Landmark and mine would do the same until I changed it.
Hi Rick, I have a 2009 Landmark Augusta that I ordered new it is in excellent condition and gets waxed trice a year. I am in Ma and am going to buy a new smaller unit will sell mine for 29,900 if you are interested. 508 904 1874. Thanks
Had same problem with my Landmark and it was the plastic check valve on the water tank. What happens is it get stuck and let's cold water in. You can take it out and free it up or do what I did and replace it with a brass one.
I would be one hot person finding that after spending good money for a new trailer. Something that noticeable just tells me there is no quality control going on at Heartland.
