If one switch is controlling 8 (dual) light fixtures and you have them on all the time, the switch might be underated for that load.

If it was a 100+ then your supply voltage was probably low which will raise your current draw. Could be a number of things. My guess is if it ran through the night it was probably low voltage and things caught up when it cooled down and your supply voltage went up. If it happens again put...

I would try a 13/16" or a 22mm and you might need a thin wall 6 point. You might look into replacing them if you can as if the coating gets buggered up it could be tough to get a socket on them. JMO Jim
