    Screws for Attaching Solar Panels?

Thanks for the ideas. I am using RV Z-mounts that will raise the panels about an inch off the roof. I'll try #12 1" screws and see how firm they feel.

    Screws for Attaching Solar Panels?

Hi All -- I am attaching solar panels to a Sundance RLB3300. I have read some people use #10+ 1" screws, others use Well-Nuts, and I am sure there are other choices. Any recommendations?

    3300RLB Bike Rack?

Hi Heartland -- my dealer is recommending a bolt-on 2" receiver for the rear bumper that I can connect a bike rack to (that they also sale) for 4 bikes. Is this a reasonable approach -- I don't want to risk damage to the frame. Sorry, I don't have the VIN of the 5th wheel with me but can...

Lost Lippert Wheel On Trip Today -- Need Warranty Advice

I'm glad it wasn't any worse! We had the bearings and brakes checked when we took it out of storage this Spring. We've put a few hundred miles on it since then, but today was the day it decided to go. The nut is still on -- I hope the mechanic can shed some light on what happened.

Lost Lippert Wheel On Trip Today -- Need Warranty Advice

Hi All -- about two hours into our trip to visit friends in NM and then onto the Sand Dunes, I noticed in my rear view mirror one wheel was kicked out at the bottom -- running slanted. I slowed down to a crawl until we could find a safe place to get off the highway. The wheel dropped about 50...

    Smoking Tire - Locked Brake

I was pulling my Sundance through town recently. I stopped at a light, waiting to turn left. When the light changed, it felt like the truck was sluggish to get started. As I made the left turn, I noticed a smoke cloud from a left tire on the Sundance. It stopped smoking almost when I...

Sofa Bed Air Mattress Warranty Info

We started using the sofa bed air mattress in our 3300RLB Sundance. It won't hold air through the night. I brought the mattress home last weekend when we stored the Sundance. I found two leaks at a seam. Unfortunately, I did not think to look for the warranty info, which is still in the...

took sundance out for the first time

Great news! I've had our new 3300RLB out three times so far -- it was snowing every single time we packed-up. Have to love spring-time in the Rockies :) The only problem I have with taking the Sundance out is I keep finding mods I want to do to make it "me". Have fun with it!

Shower Alternates from Hot to Cold

What I'm thinking of as the spring loaded check valve (on the outside part of the water heater) was a pressure relief valve. Is this what you changed? We don't have the problem at the kitchen sink, just the low-flow shower, which makes me think it is pressure related. I have ordered an...

Shower Alternates from Hot to Cold

Thanks for the accumlator tank idea. I never thought about adding one to a 5th wheel. We have one at home on our well system. I searched the web and found some pictures of how they are installed in 5th wheels. Do you know what pressure you run yours at?

Shower Alternates from Hot to Cold

The hot water heater bypass valve is closed. I don't have this problem at the kitchen sink -- the pump stays on if hot and cold valves are both running. It acts like a pressure problem -- the low-flow shower head makes the pump cycle. When the pump is on, we get mostly hot water and when it...

Shower Alternates from Hot to Cold

The shower in our Sundance changes from hot to cold as the water pump cycles on and off. If the pump would stay on during a shower, I suspect the temperature would remain the same. I have an Oxygenics shower head, but it does the same thing even with this removed. Anyone have this problem and...

Another Thumbs-up for MorRyde Pin Box

Our first two trips in our Sundance were both over 1500 miles and we have another one coming in July (family reunion). After the second trip, I decided to look into solutions to ease the chucking we felt in the truck when we drove over the frequent crack or expansion joint. With help from...

Gear Box on Landing Gear Squeling ?

I'm always glad to discovery something new :) I have read about the "clicking" in other forum posts, but I never heard that. The landing gear worked fine (although I have blown the fuse a couple times when I was not paying enough attention to how far I retracted) setting up -- maybe the...

Gear Box on Landing Gear Squeling ?

We had our Sundance out for its 3rd trip since we got it -- nice weekend of camping in a gorgeous campground south of Colorado Springs, CO (Mountaindale -- http://mountaindalecampground.com/ -- higlhy recommended, David is the manager and very professional). When it was time to tear down and...

    3300 RLB finally arrived...

Hi Bighurt -- we did exactly the same thing. I am also new to this, enjoyed it as a kid, and want to share some RV'ing time with my family now. We just took our new 3300RLB on its maiden voyage for 10 days -- no big problems and a great experience. I can't wait until the next trip, which...

    Towing with Dodge Mega Cab

Hi mmathias3, Sorry for the late reply -- I have a 2010 3300 RLB that I pull with a 2009 Dodge 2500 Megacab. It works great! From what I have read, the 2009, 08, and 07 models are identical from a body and frame perspective ( and almost in every other way also). The Megacab does great. I...

Toilet Lever Doesn't Work -- Need Help

Another Maiden Voyage Question -- Heater Switch ?

OK, my fault -- left on our first trip in the the Sundance and forgot the owner's manual at home on the nightstand:eek: So far I have remembered many things from the walkthrough, but one has me stumped. The monitor console that shows tank and battery levels has 3 switches on it: Test, Pump...

Toilet Lever Doesn't Work -- Need Help

Thanks to everyone -- nothing was broken. Somehow the notch in the lever had come out from the matching notch in the plastic shaft inside the toilet. Unscrewed the lever, matched up the slots, and screwed it together. It works now. I'm glad nothing was broken. My son had pushed the lever...

Toilet Lever Doesn't Work -- Need Help

Toilet Lever Doesn't Work -- Need Help

We are on the maiden voyage with our Sundance. The foot lever on the toilet no longer opens the black rubber valve at the bottom of the toilet. We would like a toilet that works -- it could get rather messy otherwise, especially with the kids! It was working -- now nothing. It feels like the...

First Mod -- Internet System -- Went Well :)

This looks like a good solution -- I'd rather not add holes to the roof and there won't be a lot of force on the cable. I'll try to find these and try them out.

Hi Bruteforce -- I am also using the MBT1000. We'll do the first real-world test next week on a 2000 mile trip. We expect to be in a lot of fringe coverage areas and wanted the external antenna and amp to help as much as possible. While I haven't tried this new system yet, I had a small...

I took my Sundance 3300RLB out of storage over the weekend and will be taking it on a trip this weekend -- first one with the family. Insulating Water Lines?

HI Charlie -- I appreciate your reply and how to see others too. It looks like a socket driver should be all that is needed to remove the underbelly material. We have snow on the ground now, so I won't be getting to it soon, but I want to get it done before we had out. Living in Colorado we...
