On our 2010 3055rl the door was hard to open also, as a matter of fact when the salesman tried to open the fridge he ended up breaking the handle. The techs at the dealership readjusted the frame and added some more screws to hold it in place and it works great now.
On our 2010 3055rl had the same problem, ended up putting an adjustable vent on from Menards and closing it completly shut. It helped directing more heat to the rest of the camper. The vent still gets warm but not hot enough to burn you. Being from NE like you the temperatures this weekend gave...
Completed this mod this weekend. Wish I would have seen this thread before I started. The wire colors didn't match up to what I had seen on another thread, but seeing this thread with its pictures would have been a help. Needless to say I did get it done and it works great. 20 dollars investment...
Had this problem this weekend. Had to replace thermostat, then everything ran normal. I am sure someone smarter than I am can explain this, it has something to do with the wire on the cool terminal. I ended up doing the thermostat modification by adding a hunter thermostat which was on this forum.
We added a 4 inch memory foam topper that we bought from wal-mart. My DW has hip problems and says this was the best investment we could have made for our trailer. Now I am trying to find one for our stick house.
We have a 2010 3055rl and we were wanting to replace the vent grill in the stool area with an adustable grill in the stool area. This was our first weekend with our new trailer and finding things we would like to change. You get roasted out of that area when the furnace comes on. I need to know...
When we turn on the stove vent fan our tv reception goes to nil and the tv says no signal. As soon as we turn off the vent fan the tv reception comes back. Some suggestions as to what the trouble might be would be appreciated. This is on a 2010 3055rl.
We got the 3055rl from Rich and Sons back in November. Had it in for some warranty work and to have the protectant/sealer put on the trailer. Sherman Lake is northwest of Grand Island near Loup City, NE. We seasonal camp there during the summer and then pull off in late October or early November...
I was at Rich and Sons this weekend for the open house and pancake feed. Didn't win the VuCube either. I was the one picking up our new Bighorn. Hopefully we are going to be able to take it to Sherman Lake tomorrow and get it set up. We leave it there all summer, if you've never been there it is...
It's an older brake controller that came with my 2001 dodge diesel. I pull two other trailers with this tv, a 30 ft. wilson stock trailer and an implement trailer I haul our payloader around to different sites. I can lock the brakes up on those two trailers with the gain turned down low. When...
Took our new 2010 3055rl in for some warranty work last week and picked it up today. One of the problems is the electric brakes. The brakes don't seem to engage like my other trailers do. They adjusted the brakes which they said needed it but they still don't seem to engage properly. They...
I see on several advertisements where they attach the flag pole to the rear ladder on the trailer. Isn't this putting a lot of stress on the ladder and to where the ladder is attached to the trailer?
Please excuse me for being a little slow but what does the last ten or so posts have to do with "Advice for the new to RVing". I thought this forum was for constructive information for Heartland products.
Hopefully I won't have to replace any fittings in our new trailer or any other problems. You could answer another question though and I don't mean to sound stupid but what does BTW stand for?
Tiger fittings
I thought someone on this forum recommended tiger fittings instead of using pex fittings. Seems like these tiger fittings would be nicer to use since you wouldn't have to buy special tools and clamps.
I can relate to this, after fifth wheeling for 25 years plus it happened to me. I double checked and a friend was there also and he also said I was hooked up and ready to go. Then bam, didn't hurt my sob trailer but put a couple dents in my truck. Decided to leave the dents which you can hardly...
The Access roll-up cover toolbox edition might be the one you might be interested in. I have had both an Access cover and a Truxedo. They are both good covers. The website for the toolbox cover is www.accesscover.net.
When buying our 2010 3055 a month ago there was an open range right next to the 3055. It gave my wife and me a great opportunity to compare both units before making a decision. The leveling system almost swung me to the open range, but after considering other things we decided on the BH. Now my...
Thanks for the link, card sent and I have forwarded the link to friends, co-workers, and family. Being a veteran from another conflict I know I would have appreciated a card especially during the holidays.
My wife (Rhonda) and I would like to thank all of you that replied to our question. We'll sleep a lot better now, that's a joke, but seriously thanks a lot.
Dennis
My wife and I are new owners of a 3055rl and have a question for other owners of the same model. When the bedroom slide is in, it pushes the bed up into the vanity door and puts a lot of pressure on that door. Is this common of do we have a problem that should be addressed by the dealer or...
