Any luck selling your trailer yourself?

I lost a bunch of money on the trade but it was well worth the fact I didn't have to deal with selling it. I'm just past my capacity on a loan now though...so it may be a bit for extra's. Really wanted slide toppers.

    Mounting to wall?

I just used fine pitch deep thread wood screws to put in a couple of hooks in the stair well of our sundance. They were only designed for one coat and the 2 screws alone did a good job of holding the hook to the paneling. A wall anchor maybe better but its really just the paneling you need to...

ford f350 superduty deisel 2004 4x4 short bed pulling 18k fiver

Diesel = More BTU of energy per volume than Gasoline Bed length is personal preference, I prefer long bed. Dually = More stability and increased safety factor over a single rear wheel truck.

    2015 F350 hard downshifting (6th to 5th)

My answer stands having a tuned truck would not have necessarily changed the scenario. Although towing in a race mode would not be good for the tranny.

    2015 F350 hard downshifting (6th to 5th)

Are you tuned or stock. Tow-Haul Mod or just normal? When hauling up a long hill and trying to accelerate the truck in tow haul will down shift to keep in the RPM band while accelerating. Downshift to get moving than upshifts to lower the RPM. When you are going 60 MPH and it does it with a...

What did you do to your camper today?

I personally like to watch the fails. Having a CDL I will say it's far easier to back a 40'+ van than a 5' bumper tow. Anything shorter than the trucks wheelbase gets kinda squirrelly.

    Rear Living Room

I just bought a 4100 which we intend to use as a home while I build our home, after that it will be used for camping. And when we retire, to spend time on the road. I full intend to use the garage as a mud room/dining room/office.

which tires have you put on a cyclone?

VIN is higher 300192... Doesn't really matter I'm sure they are blowmax, Will have to put in the budget to replace them next season.

which tires have you put on a cyclone?

What I find funny is my dealer shows 235/80r16 E's on the 4100 I'm picking up but Heartland lists them as 235/85r16 G's on their site. Both are 2016...

ford f350 superduty deisel 2004 4x4 short bed pulling 18k fiver

I completely agree with fifthwheelst as a reference good info. However to each there own and each truck has it's niche. My SRW F350 hauled our Sundance ok but it was temperamental, now we are picking up a Cyclone 4100 King the weight is well over the max on the Sundance. However having hauled...

    Wintering in a Sundance...

Well FEMA finally came through and we are now moving into a unit this week, just in time as we depart next week for CA. However we will not be traveling in the Sundance as I have a truck in KS to pick-up and the wife won't drive the rig that far alone, it what will most likely be snow. On a...

    Whats with these gas stations!

I always use truck stops even when empty, the nozzle is bigger the fuel is always fresh and there is usually an open stall. And you know if a long base Peterbilt 379 with a 53' stretched axle can maneuver to the stall you can too. And I know anywhere you can get your truck I can get my tractor...

    Ford 6.7...thoughts and experiences

Diesels already have an EGR. Sounds like Ford is just promoting it differently. Not sure about the 6.7L but the 6.4L had variable fin technology on the turbo, to act like an exhaust brake.

    Dinette warped...

The dealer was really great for me, although I dropped the ball and still have the warped table. All they needed was pictures and they were going to take care of the rest. Like I said I dropped the ball. In all honesty as a wood worker it was mostly due to an impasse with the wife and my...

    Wintering in a Sundance...

Our goal isn't o winter in it yet...we may still drive it to CA in Nov so skirting is out till then. Upon return if we are still waiting on FEMA trailer, than I'll be strongly considering building a pole barn for the entire trailer. Our homes current status. Started as a foundation little...

    Completely confused over tow ratings.

If you roll on the scale with the front axle, stop tally weight, roll on both axles tally weight, roll off front axle tally weight you should get three figures. Front, Gross, Rear. If the Front and Rear add up to the Gross the scale is good, otherwise you can use the three figures to average...

    Completely confused over tow ratings.

Individual axle weights are important, the diesel engine loads the front end more than the gas. Same goes for different bed styles. If you can get a unloaded weight on just the front and just the rear you can get an exact figure. I agree though Pin weight is usually the deciding factor...

    New Cyclone 3950 Owner

The Jensen automatically detects the DVD and begins playing despite what you want it to do. The problem maybe the source on the TV has to be set to the input the player is plugged into, most likely AV1. The Handles are identified on the label on the back of the UDC door. Most likely Black...

California Non Comm. Class A License - Catch 22

It's not just a CA thing pretty sure all states ask about who drove the truck to the test, in some fashion or another. I have loop hole unfortunately I had to miss the exam. Ford 6.7...thoughts and experiences

The current F450 is just a package including badges for the F350. I love my truck but plan to upgrade to a cyclone in the future, so the F450 is something I've been looking at. However I can actually get an F550 cheaper, and considering I want a hauler body that leaves me without a bed to...

Re: Fed up with heartland I think they all leak and I plan to add a valve to the pipe end to prevent the full cap ordeal. They do make a tank additive intended to lubricate the gate. I notice that sometimes it's worse than others, my only thought is that occasionally something gets caught in...

I finally made the decision that the pick-up will be replaced in a few years with HDT. So I decided rather than worry about wasting bed space in a pick-up used for my construction firm when not on vacation, I'd finally punch checkout on a Titan fuel tank. Actually I called in the order very...

Does anybody actually measure the length of your trailer to see if it's over their max.

Re: Does anybody actually measure the lenght of your trailer to see if it's over their max. In my experience, the rules say you must park within the confines of the site. Rear jacks don't seam to matter, whether you read it that way or not. So you can squeeze a few feet out of the site by...
