I have a new heartland 22FBS and the fake tile behind the kitchen counter keeps coming loose. Has any one had this problem and did you have it fixed by your dealer. I just woundering if heartland is aware of this problem.

Ours is loose also and my wife hates it. I'll be removing it and putting up a different type of black splash. If you search the forum you'll see where others have done so also.

Yes I have seen those repairs . My thinking is to make the dealer repair it as mine is still under warranty an I think the manufacturer should be made aware of the problem and have to pay to fix it.

We added a backsplash in both our kitchen and bathroom areas. I wouldn't call it a repair though but an upgrade as it is much better than what we started with.

Here's another way to go if you don't want to use tile. Vinyl covered 1/4 inch plywood. Easy to periodically change the pattern.

I really like your tile, especially the bathroom, but I was concerned about tile and grout. What about the walls flexing and the grout developing cracks? Did you add backer board? Did you take off the paper on the walls?

The bathroom tile looks great and I also like the vinyl back splash idea. Have to keep these twdo ideas in mind.

We put up the backsplash in the kitchen in July 2013. It's a very thin small glass tile pattern that came in 12 in square sheets at Home Depot. We did not take the paper off the walls. Just went right over it. We used a product called Simplemat to put the tile up and regular grout. It has traveled over 10k miles and looks exactly like it did when we put it up. No issues at all. (The one in the bathroom has only been in a couple months but it hasn't been affected by travel either.)
