Battery Servicing?

I have a 2015 BC. In the basement the batteries have a cover over them that requires removal for servicing the batteries. I have to completely disconnect the 12v cables to get enough play to get at the battery fill ports.

If I am on Shore power ( 120v) am I able to disconnect the 12v cables without disrupting internal things like AC, electrical refrigerator, etc? My mind says shouldn't be an issue but need to be sure. Any advice?

Thanks!

You should be fine. For safety, I'd turn off any of the disconnects above the battery box (round, red knob). Should be one of them unless you have a residential refrigerator, then there are probably two.

Don't forget to cut them back on when you are finished.

The Power Converter changes 120V AC from shore power into 12V DC that goes to the fuse box. So if you disconnect the batteries, everything inside should continue to get 12V from the Power Converter.

I agree it's probably a good idea to turn the cutoff switches OFF.

Be aware that things like the hydraulic pump for slideouts and landing gear probably won't operate correctly without the batteries being hooked up.
