Dometic 310 toilet leaking

My Dometic 310 was not holding water in the bowl. Before replacing the seal i thought I might read through their manual. First off I learned on this model you can replace the seal in the bottom of the bowl without any tools and without taking the toilet itself apart. Nice! They also recommend trying to reseat the seal first. Shut the water off, drain the toilet bowl then press down all around the seal with your hand. (I wore a glove of course). When you finish that pour a pan of very hot water into the bowl and let it sit. I did this and all is well...I guess it pays to read the manual. Saved me about a 100 mile round trip to get some new seals. I'll buy a couple just to have as spares as well as a new flush valve which is a simple snap in replacement. These things never break when you're close to a dealer...Don
