Ran into yet another problem. We're still working on stopping the leak from the bedroom slide - just resealed the window and hopefully that got it. Yesterday tried to close the bedroom door and noticed it overlapped at the bottom at the leading edge where it closes, stopping it from closing. Noticed the slide was off-level along the interior wall facing the kichen. So we tried to retract and extend the slide to see if it would straighten things out - it only came in about an inch and then stopped, and will not come in any further but it will go back out to where it was, about 1 inch. A few weeks ago Lorna noticed, while she was in the bedroom, a loud bang and the front end of the trailer shook. It sounded almost like something hitting the trailer, but there's no signs of that on the outside. Doug thinks something on the slide mechanism let go. Any suggestions or similar problems out there? The leaking started around the same time that the trailer shook.

SIGH!!! Doug & Lorna

This may be a dumb question, but is your trailer sitting level? Trace

Sounds to me like a cable or roller let go.
From the outside, you can check if the four cables have some tension.
Do you hear the motor running when you try to bring the slide in?

Sounds like like a slide cable broke and/or is hanging up. That could have caused the leak - from the slide not seating correctly, and now it has completely broken loose or gotten hung. A difficult do-it-yourself repair. Recommend you have someone take a look.

Nothing under that electric slide bed.
You can take the little 'step' off that is under the nightstand next to the bed.
There is where you will find the motor
You will only be able to see the inside cables and pulleys when the slide is in.
Let us know what you find out.

I have read the OP three times and I'm not 100% sure the slide problem is the same as the bedroom leak problem.

It says "off level along the interior wall facing the kitchen"?

Is it the bedroom slide, or the main slide in the back facing the kitchen, which would not be cable driven? Trace

Trace, the BC3450 has a mega slide that includes the bed and hall closet that extends to the kitchen.
I still say cable problem.

Had a similar issue this summer with our kitchen slide. Loud pop which scared the neighbors. Couldn't find it until we tried to pull the slide in. It came in a few inches on one side and about a foot on the other. It went back out fine. Sheer pin had snapped. It took the repair guy all of about 5 minutes to fix (after we waited about 4 hours for him to open). He said it is a very common problem with the slides and highly recommended carrying an extra. In reality, the "pin" is really just a bolt.

Good luck.
