Just wanted to share our exciting news! Our house is under contract! We have a closing date of Dec. 28th. So excited, after three years of planning, to be preparing our move into our Landmark. We move to a campground here on 12/12/12. :D Harry will be retiring around the 15th of January (exact date TBD) and then we will be heading south!! So far, our destinations appear to include northern Alabama, then down toward Jacksonville FL and St. Augustine. So many decisions! We will start calling some campgrounds as soon as inspection and appraisal are over (which is going to be before 11/30).

Jessica we are so happy for you and Harry! A bit jealous as well but you have worked hard to get to this point. Have fun in the sun and stay in touch. We'll be watching your blog and following your Facebook page too. Please don't forget to come back!!!!

Congratulations! Hopefully it won't get too cold up there before heading for warmer pastures. Enjoy the new lifestyle and have fun exploring the country.

Haha! It's cold already - 24 degrees at the present moment. But we are just grateful that we won't be up here ALL winter!! Hoping to head south before we have any major snowstorms.

Thanks so much! And don't worry - you won't get rid of us so easily!! We plan to return to the northeast every summer.

Congrats! Welcome to the wonderful life of fulltiming....we've been at it for more than seven years now. Our only difference is we must still work. No plans to stop any time soon, in fact, our 2013 Landmark Key Largo is on order...expect to receive her around. Christmas.

Hope you guys love fulltimu.g as much as we do...Good Luck!

Jessica, glad to hear that you are almost there. Just don't throw all your warm cloths away. We are in Texas and it is still colder that I would want.

Thanks everyone! We are so excited to be starting our new life. We went to check out a local campground today, and reserved a site starting on Dec. 12th. Almost there - just have to get the rest of this house cleaned out!

LOL Hope it warms up for you! We are each keeping one container of warmer clothes, just in case we need them sometimes.

Wow, congrats on your new adventure. One question that just comes to mind is if you plan on staying in a CG near your home which I assume is NY will the CG your going to have there water turned on. Most CG's in the north don't have running water during the winter mo's. Good luck on the fulltiming as we have been at it going on 3 yrs now and love it.

Yes this campground does have running water and we are very thankful!! We know that most campgrounds up here don't- most aren't even open.
