Leak under sink drain

I currently have a leak around the drain on one of the sinks in the kitchen. I think it's leaking around the rubber or putty. What do I use to try and replace the putty or rubber? The same thing as in a regular house sink?

Joe, some composite sink manufacturers say to not use plumbers putty. Not sure why but unless you have a stainless sink, go with silicone. By the way, the rubber washer goes below the sink and a fiber or plastic washer under that so the big flange nut can turn without binding.

I used RVers Goop on my sink/pipe connection a couple of years ago and it hasn't leaked since. I think this rubberized adhesive is ideal for this connection in a "rolling earthquake home".

Things rattle loose going down the road. You may need only to hand tighten the under sink fittings to fix your leak. Worked for me.
