Can anyone give me a rough idea as to what the typical weight would be on these travel trailers? I know everyone will be different but just looking for some guidance.
We bought a ntu 28prls and the difference between the dry weight( 7493) and the gvrw(10,160) seem huge. I know the dry weights are a lies but I am surprised by spread between the two. I know I won't be bringing 2500 lbs worth of gear and water but didn't know what the actual weight was when these came out there door.
I am not worried about the tow vehicle since we will be buying a 3/4 or 1 ton crew cab to tow this with but I am wondering what size weight distributing hitch to get. I was thinking that something in the 12,000 lbs range would be ideal. The trailer is about 100km away at the dealers and I would like to have a suitable hitch when I go to pick it up in the spring.
