Old Fuel Tank

We replaced the diesel fuel tank with a Titan 52 gallon tank in our F250 short bed truck. Now we have a problem, how do we dispose of the original tank? Found out its hazardous material because of the fuel and the recycling center won't take it. Anyone have some advice?

Craigs List is a free place to offer, sell or give away items you no longer want. http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites Check it out.

If not there, how about a local salvage yard, one that sells used auto parts. There should be a market for an original equipment fuel tank.

If you are NOT looking to make money from it and want it just plain GONE, take it to an auto recycler. If you need the cash then I agree that Craig's list is the way to go. Enjoy your new Titan.
