Outside entertainment center

Just wanted folks to be aware that the outside TV will only play DVD's or receive off air signals. it was never wired to receive satellite input or mirror the LR TV. It would have been an easy thing for Heartland to run an additional HDMI cable from the LR entertainment center to the outside TV and install a HDMI splitter in the LR cabinet so that at least we could watch the same thing as the LR TV outside. As it stands right now we either have to buy a HDMI splitter and run a cable across the living room or run an external RG 55 cable to the portable satellite antenna and add a separate satellite receiver to receive satellite signals on the outside TV. With that options there is then the problem of where to put the receiver--on an table outside?? Another option (costly) is to buy a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver. A little forethought on the part of the HL engineers would have saved us a lot of trouble. BTW the second RG55 input in the docking center is for the BR TV--an option we chose not to have installed when we ordered the trailer. Maybe they could have asked if we wanted that cabling diverted to the outside entertainment center?

We switched to the Genie system with DTV. The small client box is in the cabinet behind the TV and works fine....
