U.S. Route 11 in New York

Currently route planning a trip to Vermont next Summer and thinking about taking US 11 starting in the Watertown/Fort Drum New York area up to US 2 in the far North Eastern corner of the State over into Vermont. We will be on this route on a Sunday. Any unusual concerns in taking this route?

It's winterization time for us, and planning the next years adventures keeps it bearable (barely).
