What fasteners to use to mount 1x2s to inside walls?

I need to mount some 1x2's in order to install new blinds in our Bighorn. The walls are only 1/8 to 1/4 inch at most!
What fasteners will work? #8 screws do not work (they worked loose). Checked fasteners at Home Depot (HD) and fasteners
are not really designed for thin walls. I did locate a plastic 1/8" Pop-Toggle by Hillman at HD. Before I drill the required 5/16"
holes in the wall, I thought I'd ask what has worked for y'all ???

I have used plastic wall anchors like these

Used these easy anchors but I do predrill a bit to prevent excessive splitting.

The Togglers also work well in completely hollow spaces.

The actual anchor depends on which screw and wall I plan to use. These particular anchors work well with the screws already used in the RV construction or you can use the screws provided with the anchors.

Thanks for your reply. I used the Pop-Toggles/Toggles to install some horizontal blinds today.
The supplied one inch screws were too short so I used #8 x 1 1/2" sheet metal screws.
The next time we move the 5er I will see how my installation holds up to the road vibration.
Thanks again,
Terrell

I have used a construction adhesive for this, but a word of caution. Do not change your mind and try to remove, but a lot stronger than screws in a thin wall.
