2013 cyclone 3950 awaiting delievery
we will be pulling it with a volvo 610 (semi which has been converted and singled) reese 32k 6-way on the truck
since its a class 8 (semi) the general belief is that you can harm the frame of the 5er due to the stiffness of the semi's suspension; makes sense i guess, as the suspension of the semi isn't going to flex much with only 4k of pin weight; it is singled but that tail is still very stiff
i don't really want to swap the hitch so looking to swap the pin box on the 5er
i'm thinking air; but not ruling out Mor/ryde
- Trail Air; will not be able to retain the pretty trim around the pin box
- 5th Airborne; i believe i can retain the trim
- Mor/ryde; cheapest by about $250; not sure if this would provide enough cushion
thoughts; opinons between these three?
