XStream Generators - Anyone heard of them - use them?

We just bought an Oakmont 345RS and we are now looking at power options for boondocking, charging batteries etc.

I have shopped around and a $7000 Onan just isn't in the budget at the moment.

Yesterday I saw an "XStream" brand generator at a local store. It is 6800w peak, 5800w constant and has a Honda 389cc gas engine for $1000.

They had a bunch of different models. Some came with Honda engines and others came with a generic brand engine.

Anyone have this brand? Any good?

Thanks

Honda sell motors for many applications. A lot of cheap generators will come with a noise level you and your neighbors will not be able to live with. Check out the noise level (with load).

I only have one observation about generators: "If you can see the motor it's going to be LOUD" Doesn't matter what motor.

Thanks everyone. We have decided to re-think the budget on generators. Better to buy once, cry once.

Thanks again.
