Yea, I had the fan completely removed with all three wires open ended, still tripped. Yes there is continuity between the common and ground wires at the electrical panel.

I ended up shiming my tank to put the pick up in the low corner and then installing a second vent in the now high corner, so I can get full use of the tank. It made a big difference.

I just pulled the stock vent for the installation of a Fantastic fan. There is a loop of 2x14ga wire white/purple and an end of 2xbell wire white/red. Am I to cut the loop and wire the fan into the loop? Is the bell wire for the thermostat? Any guidance would be helpfull. Thanks, Bram 2010...

If you look at the installation of these tanks, the top of the pick up fitting is 1-1.5 inches from the bottom of the tank, and the bottom of the vent fitting is 1-1.5 inches from the top of the tank. Dave, Thanks for your interest. It seems to me that a water tank should be designed with the pick up at one low corner and the vent at the opposite high corner. It is counter productive to have the pick up and the vent in the same corner of the tank. My last trailer had a tank that was double...
