Re: Water Heater Troubleshooting & Repair Guide is GONE!!
Thanks for good info. I couldn't locate the check valve on the water heater output so I don't know if it is/is not working properly. Seems like it mst be since the LP mode keeps the water very hot. My rig has an Atwood water heater and...
Re: Water Heater Troubleshooting & Repair Guide is GONE!!
Piggybacking on the "Why Removed?" question. Guide was usefful and informative. I am still trying to figure out why I can only get warm (not hot) water using the electric option. The LP heating option works fine and does provide hot...
I recently changed out a few incandescent bulbs (921's and 1141's) with LED bulbs to see how the lighting would be affected. I installed "natural white" bulbs (color temperature 4000K-4500K) but feel that the light given off from the LEDs is much too cold. We prefer the softer lighting that the...
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Great job Jerrod !!! -- and thanks to all those who offered help earlier today. People who respond to these "distress calls" are the greatest customer service group out there. Gotta love this forum. Gotta love Heartland.
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Shore power off
red on battery positive post - black on hot post of breaker - 12.57 volts
red on battery positive post - black on output post of breaker - 12.57 volts
black on battery neg post - red on hot post of breaker - 4.6...
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Pulled 12volt panel. Checked voltage on the two large cables coming into the main breaker. Both the red cable (from battery mini breaker I think) and the black cable show fluctuating voltages between zero and 5 volts.
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Yeah - that's what I think too. I have pressed that breaker button as far in as I can, so I guess my next move will be to call Customer Service. Thanks for the help.
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
With black lead on negative battery post and red lead on hot side of circuit breaker I do get 12+ volts.
With the red probe on hot side of breaker and black lead on output side (the non hot side) of breaker , I get zero voltage.
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Confirmed that I am checking the correct breaker (thick wires on both posts, reset button on side). I get a zero reading however when checking either of the breaker posts. What should I conclude/do next in this situation...
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
I get a zero volt reading between the two posts on the mini breaker (after repressing the reset button too). Beginning to sound like it is a mini-breaker failure. Thoughts?
Re: No 12 volt power available when disconnected from shore power
Thanks Jon - good to know. Does this sound like a battery issue to you? Seems like I should get some output (however weak) from a battery reading above 12v?
I have no 12 volt power when disconnected from shore power. Battery is reading 12.5V. I pressed the small battery reset button on the battery bus and that had no noticeable effect and did not correct the problem. When I turn off the 15 amp converter breaker in the power panel I immediately lose...
