Had my roof inspected by the RV dealer about 2 months ago on my 2014 Big Country. No issues except to redo some of the lap joints. I went up on the roof yesterday and found a number of blisters; some a big as a pea and some as big as a quarter. Most have not popped yet and are very thin so...
Thanks all. It is definitely louder than the one in the Sundance. We could always here it kick on from inside but not at this level. It is probably normal but I will get it checked out just to be safe.
After I returned from our first weekend trip in our new 2014 Big Country, I noticed that the side of the camper above the hot water heater was discolored. It was soot from exhaust which I was able to remove from the fiberglass siding but not the metal water heater cover. I did a little research...
Thank all. Looking at the way the way the hydraulics were hooked up, I didn't see any way to select what slide to open. Looks like I have a project to do in the near future.
Earl
I am trying to figure out how to shut down hydraulic pressure to each slide so I can operate only one at a time if I choose to. I looked at my buddy's Big Horn and he has valves that you can turn to shut off each slide. I don't see any valves on my Big County. Do you have to let the first two...
We traded our Sundance in for a new 2014 Big Country 3650RL a couple of months ago. We plan to use it next week for the first time; can wait. I am having an issue getting the keys to go in and out of the locks on the basement doors. I have to push or pull the key pretty hard while wiggling it...
I just wanted to give a final update to this thread. I appreciate all the advice you gave and I used it to finally narrow things down to the converter. I had it replaced and we didn't have any light fluctuations during our outing this past weekend. Yeah!
Thanks all,
Earl
Would it work if I watched the meter as I pulled each fuze one at a time see if the drop in voltage stops (or slows dramatically) to isolate where the drain is coming from?
Thanks Bill and Rick,
I put a new battery in and still have the same issue. So that isn't the problem.
I posted early in the blog that I hooked up my meter to the 12v post at the fuze box and watched the voltage when the inverter switched modes to see what happened. When the inverter...
Thanks for the help and information. I had the battery tested and it tested good. The terminals are clean. So I tore the wall out of the basement of the rv and finally found the converter. I tightened all connections at the converter and at the battery and all along the neutral bus. I sat...
Thanks all and I apologize for my misuse of the word inverter. It is a converter. I hate the number of issues I have had since we bought this unit new two years ago, but the bright side is that I learn something new with each problem I encounter.
I
looked in my paperwork that came with the...
Thanks Dave and Bill. I just got back in the house and saw your post. So I will follow your instruction when I get back out to work on it.
While I was out in the camper, before I had a chance to hook my meter up, the lights flickered rapidly and I could hear a weird buzzing sound coming...
We took our 2010 Sundance 5er out for the first trip of the year. Shortly after setting up at the campground, and hooking up to 30 amp service, the ceiling lights started to dim and brighten rapidly for a few second and then would stop. Maybe 20 or 30 minutes later, it would do again. Then it...
We are sorry for your loss. I went through it with both my parents so I know how hard it is. However, I also know how special it was to spend time with them, and how comforting it was for me to know their suffering was over.
Barbara and I really enjoyed ourselves this weekend at the Delaware Chapter Rally. It was our first Heartland Rally and we appreciate all of you for making us feel welcome. We will see you all out there at future events.
Thanks
Earl
Re: Camp-out; get-together
Hello all. It was nice to meet you all this morning. We look forward to seeing you on future outings. I thought the rain was going to hold off for you but as I right this, it is starting to rain in Milford. Stay dry. Earl and Barbara.
