    Where's all my water going?!

Last few trips where we were dry camping, seemed to be going through water really fast. Last trip I finally noticed a stream following us down the road, would make "splashes" at times, not just a steady stream. Unbolted much of the coroplast so I could see up by the tanks. On our Cyclone, that...

    Onboard Generator Exhaust exit location

In process of installing an Onan 5500 into our Cyclone. Where does your exhaust pipe exit and do you wish it were in a different direction? If I run the pipe out the drivers side, it will be directly under our bedroom slide. Out the passenger side puts it close to where we sit under the awning...

Announcement POSTS hogging first two pages

All of the announcement posts regarding "this [forum like ask the factory bighorn] is now closed" take up 2 pages every time I come to the forum. I hit the "new posts" link to show all new posts. The "announcement" posts now take up the first two pages. Can we remove those posts, ie make them...

    Rim Leak

On third set of tires on our 2011 Cyclone (3 axle). The originals were shot within a few hundred miles; we put Carlisle on it and was very happy. Had one tire with a slow leak, needed 20# after about a week. Just put new tires on. Told tire guy to put new valve stem in that one; presumed it was...

    New EZFlex and new tires

The rubber pucks on our EZFlex system have been "shot" since we bought this rig (in 2012). The pucks were crushed, look like you squished a marshmallow between your fingers. Factory sent us replacement parts, but I was not in a hurry to change them since it is fairly involved and things were not...

SOLVED: Replacement fuel station pump (repaired)

Looks like our fuel pump failed over the winter. Anyone know the model for replacement or "upgrade"? I've not tore ours out yet to see what's going on with it. Fuse is good, timer seems to be working, not verified power at the pump itself. 2011 3950 Cyclone.

    What's that smell?

Encountered a new smell on our Cyclone, still trying to figure out the source. Best to describe it as rotten potatoes (if you ever left a bag of taters in the garage in the summer...). Only smell it on the outside, primarily near the kitchen slide (about middle of the rig). It's on the dump...

    Bulb recommendation

Many of the outside lights on our rig have stopped working - porch and both "ODS" lights. Not sure which bulbs are the hot recommendation these days, presume LED is best(?). Suggestions appreciated. Have not taken these apart to even see which bulbs they are currently. 2011 Cyclone 3950

Replaced Floor on dining slide out

Replaced the floor on our dining/couch slide out (the big slide). Of course the floor is 99" inches and change, so a regular 8' sheet of plywood is 3" too short. Amazed how much water damage was done on the piece we pulled out, don't see how it could have been AC rated plywood, it was mush on...

Need to replace hot water heater

The Suburban 12 gallon hot water heater (specifically the tank) needs replaced in our 2011 Cyclone 3950. Anyone have thoughts on where to source the part and any tips/tricks to do the replacement?

How do you use your Toy Hauler?

How do you use your Toy Hauler and how do you see others doing so? Mainly referring to 5th wheel rigs since they are more likely to be setup with a separate garage, but welcome the info from any style of TH. We use the garage for hauling the dirt bikes, quads, bicycles, kayaks and whatever...

    Pump runs continuous after de-winterizing

2011 cyclone 3950 Last fall I replaced our failed shurflo with a flojet and things worked great for the couple trips we has left in the season. I winterized the rig, which was the first time for me on this rv. Must say I was not impressed that the basement wall had to be pulled to get to the...

TowMax failure and 235-85-R16 on Cyclone triple axle

Question: Anyone else put 235-85-R16 tires on their triple axle Cyclone? Did you have clearance issues between any of the tires? Not that I was looking to get with the "in-crowd" but I've now had one of the TowMax tires fail on our 2011 Cyclone 3950. Disappointing to say the least. The DOT code...

Landing gear stops on retract, on 3950 Cyclone

Twice now our landing gear has stopped during retract, going and then just stops, like a breaker is tripped. Think I heard something click tonight when it happened. Wait a few seconds and it takes back off no problem. Has not done this during extraction (lower the legs). Any thoughts? Is...

    Bad SHURflo 5.7?

So looking through all of the posts, it looks like either the SHURflo 5.7 is the most popular pump ever and with so many units in service we hear about the occasional failure OR it's a not-so-good unit that has a high failure rate (or just happens to have a lot of failures with vocal owners)...

No power In garage or bedroom

We don't have AC power on the bedroom or garage area - there is a gfi in kitchen but it is ok and has power. One in master bath and it is ok and has power. One in garage bathroom does not have power but is not tripped. I can't trip or reset it. All breakers are on and not tripped. Flipped them...

    Stowing bicycles in garage

Anyone have/seen a way to haul bicycles inside the garage? We're just stacking them whichever way they fit and securing with bungee straps. Depends on if we have the ATV or just the motorcycles in there, but either way, the bicycles are the "afterthought". With 4 bikes, it's irritating to not...

Onan 5500 or [insert other model]?

Just brought our new-to-us Cyclone 3950 home. It has generator prep but no generator. We dry camp a lot, so a gen is pretty important. From what I've read, the Onan 5500 "gold" unit is what is supposed to be the factory option. Are there are models/brands that will fit and "work" in there with...

Items to look for on used Cyclone

Our research has lead us to the 3950 as having the floorplan we like (the split loft beds, in theory, is ideal for our kids). In fact, that's one of the bigger reasons we are moving from a Class A Winnebago. Though we've had a great price offered by a dealer here in MI for a new 2012, we are...
