    EMS: Portable or Built-In?

Re: Portable or Built-In My decision was based on my 27 years in the tech industry. Call me paranoid but I have seen too many surge protectors, battery backups and power conditioners go up in flames. Given that I full time it's too much of a gamble, I went with the portable, plus it can move to...

    Fulltiming in a TT

I full time with my dog in a TT and friends that stay on the weekends, it's a 31 footer. I've been living like this for over a year and love it. I have plenty of storage in my trailer. All my tools I keep in my truck, I have a cap on my bed. The perk is if I break down or any of my buddys do...

    Hit by a truck

Sorry to hear this happened and hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm sure you already realize how lucky you are. That's one main reason I sold my street bike and bought a mountain bike, way too many close calls. The final straw was getting t-boned, which I was lucky enough to walk away from, guy...

    A/C Settings, High or Auto?

Thanks guys for all the input and thanks danemayer for the guide. I've been experimenting here in ST. George Ut., it's been 102 Fahrenheit on average and our humidity is usually 10 to 15 percent. What I've found was a big difference between Auto and Continuous fan. Continuous fan works fine but...

    A/C Settings, High or Auto?

Just curious, do you guys and gals run your A/C on continuous High Fan or do any of you use the Auto High setting?

Axle repair shop in St. George Ut.?

Yes, Lippert is sending out the parts. The reason I'm looking for other shops, as mentioned above, without going into too much detail is I've seen many examples of both their work and to be delicate, their work was not up to snuff. I don't think I'd trust either one with my axles. Thanks, I'll...

Axle repair shop in St. George Ut.?

Lippert approved and provided me with a ref# and all other info. They are going to replace both axles on my North Trail. They said they are replacing the 2 5/8 beam with 3 inch, assuming beam = axle. What I need to know are there any trust worthy shops in or around the St. George area? I know we...

    Awning Clamps

I have used tie downs in the past, the downfall is by the time I needed to bring in the awning the wind was already strong, so it was always a fight to get her in. Now I just put out the awning as far as I need, it seems I never have to have the awning all the way out. I adjust the distance as...

    SOLVED: Thermostat problem

Re: Thermostat problem Thanks guys, after Silverado23 mentioned pressure last night I went out to check. I checked the tank that the regulator was switched to and it was pretty low but still had propane. So then I checked the other tank, just put a new tank on the other side last week. Someone...

    SOLVED: Thermostat problem

I have a Coleman-Mack thermostat and it's worked perfect all winter. In the last two nights I have woke up freezing to find the furnace not running and it was running fine before I went to sleep. The first night all I did was turn the heat switch off at the thermostat and back on. The furnace...

    Water leak under island sink

What a coincidence to see this thread. I just fixed my leaking sink today, it started dripping into my utensil drawer. 3 out of 6 clips were stripped and the silicone wasn't present in one corner. I had to redo the silicone, fixed the stripped clips and then added more clips.

    Exterior protection

+2 on NuFinish, used on my trailer and on my trucks for years now. I used Meguiars for a long time then I tried NuFinish again, it's easier, lasts longer and cheaper, plus it doesn't harm vinyl decals.

Bathroom Was robbing to much heat!

I had problems too but mine were due to 10ft hoses for 6ft runs. I shortened the furnace hoses and left enough to pull them out when needed. The hoses were bunched up and zip ties were squeezing the hoses to about half diameter. I also put metallic vent tape on the couplings where the hoses...

Tire and axle failure in 2011 BRS28 - HELP!!!!!!!!!

I've seen quite a few bent axle threads here and over at RV.net as well, mainly Lippert . I too have bent axles on a 7 month old North Trail. Heartland gave me the run around and pretty much told me I wasn't qualified to determine that the axles were bent and to take it to a Heartland approved...

    Forum Too Busy

It's probably an Apachce request issue or there's a problem in the pipe or a bug in the software (Apache, php, vB) or a problem at the data center or..... There are a ton of logs to go through to track these things down. The IT guys need do other daily tasks dealing with computers, servers and...

    Decal Remover

My dealer had large gaudy decals on every side. I was afraid of any type of solvent so I sat down with a cup of coffee and several new utility knife blades, one blade for each decal and just took my time. It took about half a day with breaks. I'm sure there's a solvent to help remove them but I...

    New Dog

Congrats, a rescue, especially a Boxer is the only way to go. My Boxer girl was a rescue at 5 yrs. old and badly abused, a little tlc and 6 months later and she's playing with stuffed toys and after a year she was a Boxer again :D  In case you've never had a Boxer, IMHO, Boxers are one of...

    Turn off water when away

I can only speak for myself about why I turn off both. When you turn your water off, you have a situation of water draining out of the water heater if a leak still develops. Paranoia kicks in for me as I envision the water heater kicking on and poof, burning up the heater or the entire RV. Since...

    Turn off water when away

I have a Y installed at the spigot, I flip the lever off even if I leave for a few minutes. I just picture an elbow cracking or crimp failing at 50psi. At 50 psi you can get about a gallon of water in 30 seconds. I then picture a gallon of water on and under the floor, let alone many gallons...

    My new NT 31RED

I'm genuinely glad that you're happy with your NT, so am I for the most part as I mentioned in my initial post. You're still not understanding the tub issue, there were 3 posts supporting the tub at 3 corners, now if you do the math, a rectangular tub has how many corners? I added the 4th post...

    My new NT 31RED

No, a thorough PDI did not reveal these problems. A lot of these are things happened over the first few weeks of ownership, a leak here and a leak there after traveling. The furnace problems were my fault as it was June in Utah so I did not take it into account and the furnace seemed hot at the...

Sold my house and bought a NT 31RED back in June. There were a lot of little bugs I had to work out but I love this trailer. Still waiting to hear back from Lippert on the dreaded #3500 bent axle problem but I'm parked here for the winter and I'll wait until the holidays are over. Some...

    My new NT 31RED

I finally did it, sold my house and bought a new NT 31RED about 5 months ago. I must say I love this floor plan, got a great deal due to the fact that it was a 2011. Again I have to say I just love this travel trailer and my dog, a boxer, seems to love it as well. With that out of the way...

Win7, right click desktop, personalize, then left side bar at bottom, display, I bet your font setting is at 125%, if so, change it to 100%. Most manufacturers offer the highest resolution possible for the screen size and simply bump up the font size to make it readable. My 17" is 1920x1080 but...
