You will be unhappy with the 1/2 ton and with the 3.7L trying to tow that much RV. Like the rest have said go a minimum of 3/4 ton for the heavier suspension, axles, tires and frame.

The new one worked great right after install. Took a trip to norhtern Idaho where the temps dropped to mid 20's overnight. Replacement fireplace worked as well as the one we took out. Same issues. Done with it.

Update: New fireplace on the way from Heartland. A few pictures and cut the power cord and they are sending one out. Hope the new one works better..

Congratulations on the new fiver! My wife and I joined the family last year and are spending our first year as snowbirds. There is some great info on the forum and folks are ready to help you out with information and suggestions based on their experiences. Enjoy retirement!

Sorry you had such a rocky start but glad all has worked out for you on your new rig. Amazing how dealers vary so in quality. We are currently scoping out the 3560SS. Still researching for the right dealer. Sounds like you found one in Black Diamond. Congrats!

BTB: so glad you were not hurt. Sorry for your loss but as others have said the rig can be replaced. The important thing is you being safe. Good luck in your search for a replacement rig.

Love the look of the new carpet in your rig. We're currently trying to decide between replacing the carpet with vinyl or going with new carpet. I like the idea of a "high end" carpet especially in the bed room. Thanks for your photos!
