Yes that was our Cyclone in the one picture. God was looking out for ours. The only damage was landing gear, one window, and roof damage. Not the way I wanted to get new landing gear and roof
Well our cyclone 3795 which I just put back in storage the day before last get hit by tornado and so far all we have damaged in the window above the slide out and the front out riggers bent from being moved off the 6x6 block we had it on. But about 90 trailers, motor homes, boats were destroyed...
I know for a fact the trailer brakes should work good. I had troubles with ours. It was the wiring connections. I got under our rig and found bad grounds and crimp connections. So I cut out all crimp connections and soldered and heat shrink all of them. My brake have worked great ever sense.
I have not pulled ours down with the fill station. But I have run our Gen Set four 4 1/2 days 24 hrs a day and empty the tank. It held 26 gals after the gen set ran out.
Water tank supports and wood
DW
I would tell everyone to check your Tank supports and wood. We have a 2007 3795. Our tank fell down into the frame the first time I filled it when it was New. (Thank God we were not on the road) I spent 6 hours that night putting new Steel under the tank to hold...
If you are pulling a Cyclone you better be careful with those tri axles. We have 3975 Cyclone and it hates tight turns. The poor tires look like they are going to pop off the rims. So I avoid tight turns any time I can. If we have to do it we do it very slowly. It put one **** of a load on the...
I put one in ours. No it is not prewired for it. The factory will tell you that code will not let them put one back there. But putting one back there works great! I had to run conduit from breaker box back to the rear
I can not stay for you rig but our Cyclone has one 100 gal tank and the pump use to not pick up till I got over 1/3 tank. I fixed that when the tank fell out. My tank now sets at a angle from back to front. Now I get all of the water out of the tank from the pump.
I agree with KK it not a big deal loading. Start with good level ground and ride her up. Also I agree, When unloading I leave in gear and use the clutch to brake. Front brake will not slow you down coming out.
I just had 6 new MAXXIS tires put on our Cyclone. My dealer advised Goodyear is have lots of trouble with their trailer tires,he use to sell them also. He has not had troubles with Maxis. I will find out. We are leaving from Canton GA heading to Vegas then to Denver, Nebraska, then back to...
alkyspeed Tire failure was not from over pressure. I also run 72 PSI in my tires with over 10k miles on them. I talked to the manufacture of another brand trailer tire (The name will remain unsaid in public) and they advised you CAN go up 10 psi over the MAX rating. But no more than 10 PSI...
Our Gen Set in our 3795 Cyclone. The positive was hook right to our master battery switch next to the battery box. The neg is hooked right to the battery. You want to be as close to the battery as you can. I would wire it like above or add another battery with master switch like I did. I have a...
I ran conduit with 12/3 wire long the right outside frame rail next to gas line. Then turn up into the rear area. I had pictures of the garage conduit. But they did not like our stickers on the wall I guess. So they removed them from my post. I will take some more pictures and I can send them to...
Well I just got through adding a second AC unit to our 3795. OH how sweat it is. Our rig will stay cool now. We did not want it up front where heartland wired it.Our bed room gets so cold now,we did not want more up front. We needed it in the rear. When camping we leave the garage door open most...
I know better than most about the 3795 water tank, Seeing how ours fell out the first time we fill it. It is mounted in front of your front axle. I posted all the fixes to our tank on here a few years ago. The pics are still in my past posts. I think they are name Water tank fixes. I also have...
We have a 2007 Cyclone 3795 and I have found you must lube the jacks good every year and they work a lot better. I use motorcycle spray chain lube. Just remove the top plate ( they snap in and out) of each jack and spray it down into the top really good. It will run down on to the worm gears.
I...
I also do not like the cable idea. Puts to much load on tail gate. I made a cross beam out of two 2x4s covered with carpet and customized steel jack stands. Works great. Very little money in the thing. It is strong and handles the loads great. I will try to get some better pics this weekend.
We have Mission on our Cyclone with over 11000 miles on them. Also my rig is 3 years old and has 15 inch wheels . But I run 72 PSI COLD in ours that helps a lot. Max PSI is 65 on the tire But I talked to manufacture and they said I can go up 10 Psi and be safe. I has worked so far.
Well I have been waxing the out side of our Cyclone. Man I am getting a work out. Waxing a 40 ft Toyhauler is a job. Started at the back right corner and working my way to the left front. I have made it to left front slide out after spending about 6 hours on it. But man does it look good now. I...
Not as warm as they say
Our 3795 is not as warm as they say they are. Our heater runs all the time when it get down in the teens. We now have 3 small electric heaters. These make the main heat not run as much. WE set our Furnace at 68 and the little heater keep it warm in side.
Kaxel,
The motor is not mounted tight on these units. It will move a little went it is running. But if you want to get to it just to make sure. Just remove the front panel inside your transverse compartment. You can get right to it then.
You always want to hit the gas never the brakes when your trailer starts to sway like that. The trailer brake only way help. Just do not use the TV brakes. HIT THAT GAS A LITTLE. Then slow down after she get straight again
The slideout looks like new now
Well I GOT R DONE. You would never know it was damaged. Works like new. Also did some rewiring on rig while I was working on rig. I had had some bad connection in my outlets. SO I had been planning on putting real outlets in the rig and get rid of the cheap push...
Open your right side transverse compartment door remove the first panel to the left. Some unit have the outside radio mounted there. the switch should be right behind that panel . In my rig it is right behind the breaker box.
Well after two full days of work I have gotten close to the end. Of course I have had to make other improvements as I go. My bedroom slide has always pitched up when you first start back in with it.The bed frame would rise about a inch up off the floor just as it started in. Well I fixed that...
Heartland has step up on this one. They have not gone as far to say they will pay to fix it. But they did tell me if I needed anything to fix it with just call them. I must say they do care more than Scott did back when I had my first troubles when it was new. I think they really care now. They...
Start of repairs to slide!
Well I have cut out all of the rotted wood and started the repairs to my slide bottom. I removed my bed frame and starting make the new bottom by making a 1 inch thick bottom plate to replace the cut out. I had to start by gluing two 1/2 inch pieces of hard wood ply...
Stevie,
I talked to Heartland today my rig is out of warranty it is on my back now. So I have already started repairs as soon as I found it. That is why everyone should check their slides if they are like the one I have on our rig. I bet you anything they are sealed the same way.
Well here I go again having to fix the troubles cause by poor workman ship from Heartland. I was doing some cleaning and other work like sealing the shower doors with new sealer. and working on my bed room slideout.I saw some of the screws lose along the lower trim and on the under side of the...
The complete details will be in the Cyclone Area (EXTERIOR area). But it may apply to other rigs also. I have placed pictures of damage and start of my unwanted repairs I am having to make after just 3 years of service. This would be very very costly repair to someone that can not do it them...
I have 3795 with one unit on the roof. It is all it can do to keep it cool down here in GA. My best friend has a 39 ft Raptor with two units. One is in the bed room up front and one in the same place as the cyclones over the main door area right above the bed room steps. His unit will freeze you...
