BIL just got his new truck Fri. Beautiful "Cherry" red w/ 2 tone leather. Is a 3500 SRW, CC, 4x4, SRW, 6.6 gas and 3.73 gears fully loaded. Took a look at the data label and liked how GM put down the max weight of railers on it. Said it could tow a 18,000 gooseneck/5er and 16,000 TT. Combo of like 26K. Not sure if I'd ever test this, BUT have seen many SRW towing what seems to be more than they should. Seems to me that handling comes into play.
Anyways, tho I own a Ford, have always had a liking towards GMC and I really do like how they put the GMC icons in small places. Is a beauty. His 1st brand new truck ever and currently has a 32' TT which was towed by a '12(?) Tahoe. Looking to get a 5er down the road. Am happy for him and his wife. Not sure if he'll ever let her drive it......he's very OCD.
