You probably have a couple of furnace vents on the exterior wall and a cover plate that's removable on the outside. I've been told that once the cover is off and the gas disconnected, the guts of the furnace can be removed from the furnace enclosure. But not having done it myself, I'm not sure how the guts are held in.
Thank you. I did get it out by removing the outside vent cover plate and a few screws from the inside and pulled out the whole thing (furnace and enclosure) only then figured out that I didn't need to pull out the enclosure. Other than having to cut the sink drain pipe, it was pretty easy to get out. At least easier than it first looked. My next step is to replace the control board. So far so good.
