I am overly dilligent in maintaining the battery bank on the horn. Running out of power on a trip is a drag at best.
Last night, after it cooled down, I put the charger to the equalizing setting to stir up the 'ol electrolytes, it has been six months or so and it was time.
My wife went out to the rig, unbeknownst to me, and when she came back in she commented how bright the lights were! We dodged a bullet as no bulbs blew or plastic lenses melted, as some times happens with 15+ volts going into the system.
HYDRO CAPS
I just found this item and was quite excited until I saw how much they were. They claim to reduce water loss by 50-80%. Has anyone used them? I wonder if they would give the batteries a longer life or if the number of charge cycles would be the same?
