Wilderness 2450fb 2017. original pull rod broke about 2 inches from the connection. I'm not sure if what's left will just unscrew and I can replace or is it a bigger job than that? I bought an extension rod kit but don't think it's the right one. any help is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you're saying the T-shaped handle broke off and part is still attached to the threaded shaft. If so, the remaining piece should just unscrew and a new handle should go right on. You should be able to find a handle at the parts dep't of the nearest RV dealer or from Amazon.
