Does anyone know of any campgrounds in this area that will accommodate large toy haulers? Ours is a Road Warrior, overall length is 42'.

Have you taken your rig on a ferry before?
So far, we've avoided it. I've read you need to plan to travel at high tide to avoid steep ramps getting on and off the boat (and I've seen some steep ones when traveling sans trailer!). WA state ferries also charge an arm and a leg for the extra length and height.

There are lots of places around the sound to camp without getting on a ferry.
The fidalgobay resort (above), or http://www.pioneertrails.com/ (we went to our first Heartland Owner's Rally here!)

Other Places we've stayed, and would stay again:

Fidalgo bay as the others have said is the nicest park in the area and is just moments from the ferry terminal to the San Juan Islands.

Pioneer trails is a more rustic park but also very close to the ferry terminals.

Both will be able to accommodate an RV of any size.

Yeah I guess I didn't think about getting on and off the ferry, I can see some scraping if the ramp was too steep. Thanks for the advice.
