That is great news Dave, I am so looking forward to it. I was even thinking about going back to the first post and putting all the stops into Google Map. It will be fun seeing everything up there. We plan on a 3 or 4 month trip if it will work out.

There are a few things that come to mind right now that you should consider doing/taking, I will try to do a complete list later.

1. Make sure you have 4 new tires on your rig, take along 1 spare mounted and 1 or 2 unmounted.
2 Truck tires should be new or a least in good shape.
3. Buy enough oil for 2 oil changes, include oil, air and fuel filters.
4. 1 set of wiper blades and windshield washer fluid.

More later.

Concerning windshield washer fluid...303 makes a tablet you put in regular tap water and it make the blue windshield washer fluid. They come in a plastic bottle of 5. I ordered them off of the 303 website. The tablets work great and it make it light and easy to carry 5 gallons of washer fluid.

Uneventful drive from Hyder, saw a couple of black bears eating by the road. It was raining most of the day until we crossed the mountain.

We tried the Hazelton campground but they had a problem with the water. So we are now in Fort Telkwa, just a little south of Smithers, BC. This campground is OK Full Hookups, cable and WIFI.

Not sure where we will go tomorrow.

We are now in Prince George, BC, the campground is Blue Cedar Campground. It is small but nice, 30 Amps, water, electric, and a good WIFI.

The drive from Fort Telkwa took us through farm land with fields full
of many rolls of hay. Tomorrow we head south.

Today is Julie's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!, Jule

We are in Clearwater, BC in a KOA campground, nothing special just another KOA.

The trip from Prince George to Clearwater was nasty as it rained almost all day, terrible for driving and worst for viewing the scenery along the way.

There were a few spots where the Milepost said this was a good spot for viewing a mountain and surrounding area weather permitting, today the weather did not permit.

We saw more farm land with many rolls of hay (see pictures)? There was a very large lumber mill (see pictures) cut trees piled up ready to be processed and the final product stacked nice and neat also.

The sun is suppose to shine tomorrow if it does we will stay here for another day to explore some.

We decided to stay another day at Clearwater, BC, the sun was shining brightly this morning and it turned out to be a great day.

We went to the Wells Gray Provincial Park, they have so many water falls it is hard to believe. We took a whole bunch of pictures; they started out on the small side and kept getting bigger and taller.
One of the falls you could walk in back of it, I did and took a picture also, you do get wet.
The last one we saw the water falls 450 feet before it hits the pool it has created over many years of cutting and wearing the rocks down..

Tomorrow we will be on the road again.

Sorry no WIFI on Friday at the campground so I will do a update on Saturday.

It was another nice day in BC made driving a lot of fun. As we passed Kamloops we thought it looked a lot like the south western desert area.

We are in another KOA at Lake Gallagher, BC around 18 miles from the US/Canadian border we should cross tomorrow..

It is hard to believe that for the past 2 months we have been running the heat pump or the furnace today we could have the air conditioning on. Big difference in the temps.

The picture I took is Just outside of our trailer it looks like a giant rock wall ready to fall any minute and there is a Canadian flag up there.

We passed several lakes along the way here. Julie did a good job taking some interesting pictures.

We are now in Pasco, Washington, at yet another KOA. What can I say it is a KOA, the WIFI is good fast but you cannot upload any pictures.

We crossed the border today, they did ask the usual questions, you know are you bring any firearms, drugs, terrorist, with you. Then after you are finished with that guy you have to go to the agriculture person who then wants to know if you have any fruits or meat on board, then she wants to see the cats as well as the dog. Now it gets interesting she wants to look at the dog and cat food you have purchased in Canada, Crazy!!

Any way the rest of the day was good The area just before you cross the border in Canada is really nice there are fruit trees everywhere apple, peach and cherry. I did not know that the weather was so mild there.

We did see smoke off in the distance and as we came closer we saw it was a grass fire and the fire department was there trying to put it out , I can see that it would be a big job out here because all the water has to be carried in by truck and when you use it up you have to run and get some more.

We came accross the Dry Falls state park it was most unusual area and very interesting to see.

Julie took some more pictures but I cannot upload until we get to some place that I can used their WIFI or setup my dish to upload everything.

I will reply later, after reading all your posts, but after reading the first few regarding WiFi,
I wonder if the mobile "Hot Spot", available from Samsung or Verizon ($50/mo for 5GB),
would have helped you - check it out.

I hope to enjoy your log and have it bring back memories of my Alaska trek of 28 hrs ago,
Up the Stewart-Cassiar Hwy through AK and the Yukon, then back via ferry to No. End of
Vancouver Isl -I hope you enjoyed your trip as much!!! Sorry your Hyder adventure was so bad.

I will have to say for the most part the WIFI has been OK, I get upset if I cannot get on he forum and update. Using anything that depends on a cell signal would not work because there are places that we have been where there has no cell service at all.

We have arrived in Weiser, Idaho in a campground called Oasis RV park. It is a little place in the middle of nowhere by the river.

Very interesting country side. I think the industry here is cement making, from the lime that is found in the area. Of course there is the farming industry also.

The pictures of this area are not as exciting as the ones from Alaska but still interesting to us who have never visited this area.

Tomorrow we head further south.

Hi Dave & Julie. I just want to say again how much I am enjoying your adventure and thank you so much for taking the time to do these postings and upload the pictures. You are now in my home area of the country. I grew up in Caldwell, just a few miles south of Weiser. You are correct, the primary industry in that area is farming; wheat, corn, potatoes, sugar beets, and of course alfalfa and other types of hay to support the dairy industry which is also prominent in that area. Regarding sugar beets, there used to be a large sugar refinery near Nampa; I assume it is still there.

Again, thanks for all of the pictures and thanks for allowing all of us to ride along on your trip.

We are in Hagerman, Idaho at a campground Hagerman RV Village. It is a very nice park full hookups and trees paved roads and pads. It is really hot here, I guess we are not used to the hot weather yet after the cool of Alaska and Canada.

This area is famous for finding prehistoric bones in the National Park. The old Oregon Trail is nearby also, after seeing the trail and what the settlers had to endure, it is a wonder that this part of the country ever got settled.
We are staying here a couple more days to look around. I will update more tomorrow.
